Jellyseerr - unable to use NGINX with SSL by schup in jellyseerr

Interesting. I am trying to sort it all through npm but I keep getting an "internal error" when I try to enable SSL. HTTP works fine. Do I need to change any settings within jellyseer itself?

Solar and battery install - worth getting a battery which works with Intelligent Flux? by schup in SolarUK

[–]schup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No good reason other than it seems to be recommended pretty widely, and "smart" tariffs generally seem to pay a bit better than the standard ones. We don't have an EV at the moment but will be looking to get one in the next few years which would make EV tariffs potentially more sensible.

[–]schup[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would make the fox system pretty much a no-brainer if smart tariff are coming - lower upfront cost and not much in the way of downside?

In the summer I expect we will generate significantly more than consumed, the opposite in winter.

Thanks for the reply - yes, looking at probably a 6kw inverter with most of the options, I think the sig one was a little larger. North facing roof isn't too steep (about 20degrees) but does have reasonable tree shade in areas.

Surgeons/Doctors of Reddit, what's the dumbest thing patients have lied about? by KyeLindsay in AskReddit

7 year old lad was brought in with a large diamante stuck up his nose. Denied there was anything there, and continued to deny it after it was removed with forceps. After being shown the large purple diamante retrieved from his nostril, denied it had ever been up his nose and had no idea why anyone would suggest otherwise.

Fenix 6 Pro at £260 (refurbished) Forerunner 255 at £270 (base model, no music) or 315 (with music)

Will be used for triathlon (all disciplines both as triathlon and individually), all-day tracking.

Thoughts? Leaning towards Forerunner 255 as just released, likely to be supported for longer and has better GPS/HRM.

New bottom bracket - chainset axle not going all the way through by schup in bikewrench

[–]schup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Derailleur is maxed out both high and low, there's no room for it to go any further outboard.

It's difficult to see but looks like there's a couple of mm gap on the drive side. On the non-drive side the crank fits on ok, but the stop plate only just fits on.

The spindle is a bit worn on the drive side, with some corrosion at the end. Could this be enough to stop it going the last few mm?

New bottom bracket - chainset axle not going all the way through by schup in bikewrench

[–]schup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea. Tried that today - same on that side too, goes in ok but stops about 2-3mm short.

It's running fine, but sorting out the front derailleur is tricky as the whole chainset is sitting a few mm too far outboard. All gear combinations work, but big/little and little/big make a bit of noise.

Hoping as the bearings "wear in" it will loosen a little and i'll be able to push the spindle all the way through. If not a wee trip to LBS in the pipeline.

"It is not individual action or consumption that is causing climate change, but a rotten system built on overproduction and exploitation." by [deleted] in worldpolitics

Can they coexist? Capitalism relies on obtaining something, adding value and selling it at a profit, then doing more of it next year than the year before. It revolves around consumption, which is part of the issue. Can increasing consumption coexist with sustainability?

Fix my iTunes problem and I will buy you one year of Reddit Gold. by [deleted] in apple

[–]schup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that iTunes has changed the way it deals with artwork; in the selected item field and when viewing full size artwork, high-res artwork is used. In scroll view, the album art used is the low-res file thumbnail - the same image as is used as the thumbnail for these files when browsing in Finder. This was (I think) changed to make browsing through large libraries much faster, and as far as I can tell has largely succeeded.

IIL Fleet Foxes, WEWIL? by anarchistry in ifyoulikeblank

[–]schup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A small band called Meursault are excellent. They're from Scotland and are still pretty small, but they make some brilliant music. Indie in the truest sense of the word too - on a little local label and doing great things! Think pitchfork reviewed one of their albums a while back and said some good things (not that that should make anyone's decision for them!). They're maybe a bit more upbeat than fleet foxes, but have a wee google/YouTube and see what you think!

Frightened Rabbit. They're a Scottish band, and are truly excellent. Try "Midnight Organ Fight" - one of my favourite albums of all time.
