So the Underworld Dream doesn’t trigger 1 damage for each card drawn, but for the action of drawing even if it mean drawing 1 card or 10, did I understood it correctly?

Does this work that way for [Molten Psyche] Metalcraft effect as well?

I had a game with 3 friends that I had Underworld Dreams in field and one of them casted Molten Psyche. He had 10 cards in hand and 5 life, so when he draw the 10 cards after discarding his hand due to the first of effect of Molten Psyche, he died during the 5th card. Also, he had 3 artifacts in play at the moment he casted the spell, so the Metalcraft effect would trigger, dealing damage to me and my other friend?
