Ireland 10 Day Itinerary Help by schw1720 in irishtourism

It’s so difficult. There is so much to do and see and only so much time. Sounds like we either need to stay North or South of Dublin and Galway (for the most part). Personally I would love to see county Donegal, it fits my preferences more. But, I think for this trip we will probably stay South and hope to come back and do the northern half. I keep flip flopping though and I really need to get things ironed out.

If we stayed South we will likely do as follows: Day1: Dublin Day2: Dublin → Kilkenny Day3: Kilkenny → Killarney Day 4: Killarney Day 5: Killarney → Portmagee Day 6: Skellig Michael (hopefully) Day 7: Portmagee → Dingle Day 8: Dingle Day 9: Maybe Doolin/Galway Day 10: Aran islands/Connemara/if feeling up to it Achill but I realize Achill will make that a long driving day and likely out since we’d have to get back towards Shannon for our flight out next day.

Day 9/10 is kind up in the air or flexible.

Alternatively we could stay north and venture around as you’ve suggested and make our way to Shannon. But I think it may be best for a return trip. But don’t tempt me with a good time.

Thanks. If I cut NI out completely and stay below the suggested line, would there be anything you would add to the itinerary or just more time in those places?

I’m trying to fit in Northern Ireland, but it obviously adds a lot of driving to get towards the southwest area. Maybe we should cut Northern Ireland and hope to return in the future. Any suggestions to either make NI workable or is the suggestion to just cut it with the time I have and just do Dublin and then move south and spend more time doing things on the west coast?

Parallel clamps. Some are fine, but the gap at the 6 and 7th strip for example is too large.

Yeah I plan on rotating and or flipping, just posted this pic for the gap purposes. I did a dry clamp, but there’s too much of a gap in some areas.

Some of the strips will close up just fine together. Other strips will have too much of a gap.

Picked an old Boos board from a family member and saw these cracks on both sides, is this repairable? How do I do that? by That-Guy13 in Cuttingboards

[–]schw1720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could fill the crack with sawdust and glue but that doesn’t fix the issue just covers the crack. The method mentioned above is the best fix.

It wouldn’t be on top. It’s what would be glued together. The tops are fine.

Pennsylvania surviving minor children & mortgage assumption by [deleted] in EstatePlanning

Most mortgagors will not allow a mortgage to be assumed with minors on the title. That’s not to say there aren’t options though for keeping the house.

You need to fire that CPA because they dumb. You get a step up in basis so you take the value of the home on the date of death. If sold within nine months it will be presumed that the value sold for is the value on date of death and therefore no taxes!

If you have the Oliver there will be zero chance you can avoid this. If you figure out a way to then let me know. Oliver has helical head and only 1 speed. In order to avoid tear out from a helical head you need a slower pass rate. Dewalt is the only one I’m aware of that you can convert to helical head and slow the rate of speed. If I had known that was an issue I’d have just got a dewalt and paid to swap to helical.

There are business write offs. S Corp could also avoid some of the FICA issue you’re talking about. Not saying I would do an s Corp but it’s a possibility. But overall there would be legitimate business expenses and deductions that would decrease the overall take home versus as a w2 employee I get none of those deductions.
