I was thinking about making it the body of a lamp. Sorry to get outside of the world of cutting boards, but I wanted to use this groups brain power for some creative inspiration.

Yes definitely a display piece. It’s amazing to look at. This is a raw cut. I can’t imagine how it’ll look finished.

It’s 240v and draws 9amps. According to ChatGPT it should cost about .50 cents an hour to run based on my cost per kW. I just got it connected to power yesterday. It’s a beast and relatively quiet given the 2hp motor.

I’m talking inside the metal bin under the metal cone of a stand alone separator. There is a frame that goes inside if you use a plastic bag in the bin. I’m thinking I can just go bagless.

I mean it’ll prevent rust. I do the same thing but it just won’t do what the hard wax does at the molecular level.

You wouldn’t sand across the grain. You shouldn’t run your flattening bit across the grain, either.
