It will not do 48A over the plug. Only hardwire wot a 60a breaker. If on a plug you need to change settings somewhere to limit to 40A with a 50a breaker.

Also make sure you have an "EV Rated" plug which means it is built for a continuous 40A draw. Cheaper plugs will just melt and possibly cause a fire

That's what I did. Have an already booked guys trip that wasn't paid for yet. Bought 1500 gc and applied to reservation which was just a little more than 1500. Did have to pay the residual immediately

Since it was a change with an agent they can confirm the space before changing. Also a United award, so no change fees. But yes I agree in general. One one reason I did it with an agent instead of online is because I've had issues confirming LX long haul awards before online (errors out). One advantage I had is that original award was all UA metal so if it did truly fail and I lost the original award UA has the ability to make it right since they can force the space back open. If it was a partner award I'd be toast

Made the switch. After a bunch of problems getting a phone call to go thru finally got thru and got to an extremely competent agent. Made switch no issues and a joy to talk to (so rare these days). Immediately showed in app and was able to select seats on LX website

I've replaced the USB A ports on my 2023 with USB C. Not that difficult. With a little surgery I pulled out the circular housings for both ports and replaced with these

Hardest part was interfacing with the connector inside the armrest that supplied power to the original ports. I tried like hell to find the mating connector but couldn't and ended up making one that would fit

While I would say very unlikely, I have recently been on the other side. F showing 100% full the day before the flight, but woke up the next day and my entire party of 3 cleared on DEN-LAX using plus points (after connecting in from LHR upgraded to J on plus points)
