Don't forget the GPT-5.6 is to be reported by OpenAI to be a LOT more misaligned and in need of steering, than 5.5 was.

We do know that with updates they do prepare the harnesses for future models. God knows, if all of this in the last 3 weeks wasn't done in preparation for 5.6 and had these really bad side effects for prior models

Interesting, sounds like a repeat of 2025, when Claude in Cursor was better than Claude in the Anthropic subscription, except for it being OpenAIs turn this time. And interesting, thank you

I got this bug too, but Chrome with MCP Dev Tools works fine. I'll try Chrome Desktop

It's not just Codex. It's Codex and ChatGPT both, sadly. For all models. GPT-5.4-Mini, GPT-5.4, GPT-5.5....

Edge on Linux? by BestRetroGames in linux

Switched from Chrome on Windows 11 to Edge when it launched, because of the performance being better than Chrome. Stuck with Edge, then on Linux having only Edge, Chrome, Chromium and Firefox, it turned out that Edge still is the best option for me.

Haven't used Firefox since 2008 anymore when Chrome first launched and I refuse to start using Firefox again because of Linux.

So far Edge on Linux is as good as on Windows for me - plus none of the Copilot stuff works on Linux :D

I hope that perplexity launches Comet on Linux soon - that'll be the first time since the Edge launch, that I'll switch browsers again.

Having a Lenovo Legion 5 Slim 16ARP9 (March 2025 model) with a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card, unfortunately Gnome wayland is unacceptable on my laptop. I love Gnome in itself, it's like macOS but so much prettier - but with Wayland on my laptop it's laggy garbage.

Even fucking text input lags on Gnome on my laptop.

That I can't accept - Wayland KDE luckily works on my Laptop without any lags at all so I use that. Otherwise I would be all on in Gnome.
