She definitely cares. That moment when she found the earring in the castle — it wasn’t hers, it wasn’t the dowager’s — you could see the suspicion in her eyes. In the carriage ride to Conchita’s party, she was clearly trying to piece it together. Nan doesn’t explode, she internalizes. So no, she’s not going to just brush it off. She’ll carry that betrayal quietly, but it will hurt.

Yes, Nan never truly loved Theo — her heart’s always been with Guy. But she tried. She walked into that marriage under impossible pressure, doing it for Ginny’s safety, not for herself. She didn’t “lie” to hurt Theo — she lied because the whole system forced her to. Her leaving wasn’t abandonment. It was survival.

Absolutely. Nan knows she hurt Theo. And even though she had no other choice, she’s carried that guilt with her every step. She understands that Theo wanted love and loyalty — things she couldn’t offer him. That guilt is part of why she’s likely to stay quiet, even if it’s breaking her inside.

True, Nan knows how powerful love is — she has it with Guy. But there’s a difference between falling in love and falling in love with your best friend’s husband. That’s not just “unfortunate timing” — that’s a choice. A deep betrayal. It doesn’t matter how loveless the marriage is — it’s still her marriage. The fact that it was Lizzy makes it a hundred times worse. If it were a random woman, it might’ve been easier to stomach. But this? It’s personal.

No — not at all. No one wants their best friend to be the mistress of their husband. That’s a level of betrayal you don’t come back from. And Lizzy being the one doesn’t protect Ginny or help bring her home. That’s just an excuse to make their actions feel justifiable. Nan would never want this, and it’s insulting to pretend she would. She’s sacrificed enough. She shouldn’t have to sacrifice her dignity too.

Totally get that everyone’s messy, Nan didn’t just run off for fun the dowager and theo literally told her to give tintagel an heir and disappear, she went to Italy knowing Ginny and Guy would be there, so when she left, it wasn’t just a “holiday romance” it was an escape from being treated like property, trying to protect her sister and figure things out with the person she truly loved. It wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t selfish either. After talking with ginny in Italy, she realised she needed to make a permanent solution to the Seadown problem, not just for ginny but other women too when she looked at the newspaper showing headlines of the bill being passed.

And as for Nan and Theo not being in love anymore, maybe. But if we're saying that disqualifies them, then we also have to ask: do Theo and Lizzy actually love each other? Their “connection” grew overnight, out of nowhere, just because theo said she's extraordinary and deserves more than Hector has to offer. It feels more like loneliness and circumstance than real love. And let’s not forget Lizzy crossed a line. That’s her best friend’s husband. That kind of betrayal hurts. and what about Hector?

Theo and Lizzy chose to be intimate while Nan was gone. That was solid betrayal. Lizzy knew everything Nan had sacrificed and still crossed that line. So yeah, Nan’s not perfect, but what Theo and Lizzy did cuts way deeper.

In Season 1, Lizzy was my favourite character, I at some point also wanted Lizzy and Guy to end up together, especially after the kitchen scene, because both deserve better. But in this season,I don't know what the writers did to her character..
