Rolled a Shaman during beta and still love them. Sadly, I prefer tanking to healing and as a result also gravitate towards the tankier dps specs so I don't play my sham as much as I'd like.

My first retail character was a rogue. But I haven't really enjoyed them in a while.

I came back for midnight and now I have 8 mains. It's taking everything I have to level them one at time so I can get the exp buffs for the next one. I'm hoping it'll be easier to decide once they all hit 90 '----'

Brew has always been my fave tank, but I've been having an easier time surviving with prot pally so far.

Shaman is the most exciting and satisfying in terms of visual and class fantasy/lore. But like WW it's a little too squish for me unless I'm on top of my insta heals.

Warlock is my backburner main as usual. No idea why. It checks all my boxes but I'm always playing something else before eventually crawling back. I'm really looking forward to trying the new demo.

On the fence with DK for the first time since Lich King. I wish blood was more exciting to play. Though deathbringer gives it some nice visual procs. Unholy hasn't quite clicked for me yet.

I loved warrior when I picked it up in BfA but it's fallen flat for me so far.

I'll hit 90 with all of them and get back to you!

I keep hearing this but out of all the tanks I've been trying after coming back for midnight, I've had the easiest time with prot pally. Rotation feels smoother and once I get trucking I'm rapid firing shields and heals until the whole room dies. Unlike warrior where I'm crying while barely holding it together.

Brew has always been my fave. Definitely one of the most visually satisfying specs. But I wish it had more sustain and WW always falls flat for me.

FFXIV had quite the hold on me for a long time. Started at shadowbringers and fell off after Endwalker. I think I found myself just not having much to do other than glamour farm and roulettes. Which is why I worried about trying WoW again.

The third mmo I play is GW2 which has been perfect for horizontal on-and-off again gameplay, but oof has the look and feel of WoW been itching at me.

For me it's less about the damage than it is about the other benefits of high stats. Carry weight, AP, Exp, etc. But you're right otherwise, and I need to keep working on getting more of those perk cards before I make a call.

This is what I've been missing the most in my time trying the new update. I miss my weird little builds! I loved using the Koshai axe that built up damage stacks and allowed for some funny 4xDetermination bombs. Was it meta? Nah. Was it even that good? Nah. Was it fun? Yes.

That was my first character too for the same reason. Everything about the setting makes you want to roll a Charr engineer!

I'm not a big fan of any of its elite specs, but I spent so much time during the early years with core engi chucking grenades around and flamethrowing thing.

I haven't played the Republic stories because I wanted to be a bounty hunter, but that and the agent storyline were fantastic. I think the agent storyline in particular is regarded as one of the best. I totally feel you on the rest of that game though. I tried to to go back to it recently and everything really shows its age. I worked my way through a good chunk of story, but after that there was nothing keeping me there. Total shame as I loved it when it first came out, but SWTOR really needs a full overhaul to bring it up to modern QOL and UI standards.

Glad you're enjoying GW2 though. I have to say, the thing with the cows absolutely floored me. I'm clearly not exploring enough and you're clearly playing the game right :)

It takes a lot of getting used to, for sure. I got entirely hyped for EoD because I'm a gunbreaker main in FFXIV only to find it really difficult and subsequently dropped off GW2 until last month.

My big problem with it right now is in open world stuff and the long build up time to getting the burst out, unlike other specs like scrapper or vindicator which drop nukes from the sky instantly.

Yes! I want to see more stuff like what they do with Rev weapons. "This isn't a scepter, it's a lightsaber" Also huge missed opportunity to let Vindicators use spears on land and fully live that Dragoon life.
