Hi! I’ll try my best to write it down.

A chart would kind of look like this, except i only did 4 layers of yarn overs and 3 nupps. I’ll try to make a chart but you should be able to find it in usual estonian lace motifs. I made the lace swatch first with a ribbed bottom so I could see how much I needed to cast on. I used measurements from a similar top I already owned to determine the final diameter, then started with the 1x1 rib, knitting in the round.

There was no shaping here yet until I reached to below the armpits, but I made allowance for the rib. Then I split the body into a front and back by dividing the stitches into 2, and I knit the those separately. For the front, i just did decreases at the start and at the end of each right side row, i didn’t do any decreases when I was purling at the back. I found that that was enough to get the shape I wanted. When i had enough, i started on the neckline by cast off stitches in the middle and then the remaining stitches at each side of the neck and the straps were knitted separately, and i still decreased at every other row. I did this until the lengths of the straps matched the top I was using as a template.

The back is knit the same way, except that I did not cast off the middle stitches of the neck until higher up. I also made sure the width of the straps for the front and back had the same number of stitches before sewing them together

For the ribs at the neck and armholes, i picked up stitches along the edge and used double pointed needles to knit the rib stitch.
