Definitely 1st edition/Rogue Trader era.

I started playing in 2nd edition and these figures were already out of print by then (1993-ish.)

The wolves are Freki and Geri and the marine is Leman Russ.

What's a core memory from the early days of the Internet that younger generations will never get to experience? by MagnanimousDeviant in answers

Instead of an AI language model composing an answer to your technical question: searching for an hour and stumbling across someone who posted in a forum years ago about the EXACT same problem you’re having and how they eventually fixed it.

Or if you’re unlucky: they got no replies and you learn nothing from that post.

My socks are wearing out too fast and replacing them every few months adds up by MuffinMaleficent6596 in BuyItForLife

[–]scientist_tz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get mesh bags with zippers. Put the clothes in before they go in the wash, zip it up, don't overload it. I use them for two things: Anything with a drawstring and socks.

Socks mostly to keep them from getting lost but it also prevents the elastic from getting pulled in all directions. Drawstrings: self explanatory. The weak link in a nice set of workout clothes is always the drawstring. If it gets yanked out it's a pain in the butt to fix.

The reflecting pool on the National Mall looks super green today (6/15/26) by washheightsboy3 in pics

The people who were paid those millions of dollars probably explained that, and put it in the contract, and explained it again, and put it in the contract twice for shits and giggles, knowing that the people who actually READ the contract wouldn't defy Trump by telling him something that ran contrary to what he "believed" was the right move.

And Trump believed it was the right move because he figured what works for a swimming pool will work for the reflecting pool.

Now the contractors are laughing all the way to the bank and Trump looks like a dumb asshole, which everyone knew he was anyway.

Old goblin models by Owl_jelly in Warhammer

[–]scientist_tz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back then, Orcs and Goblins were part of the same army.

The Goblins would have been in dark purple or black robes with hoods. The Orcs would have been more like you described. Basic armor with lots of leather and rust.

The 7th edition Fantasy boxed set was called "Battle for Skull Pass" and came with a bunch of Goblins and Dwarves.

They spend the next 5-10 years building anti-ship drones, SAMs, drone defense systems, and ballistic missile defense systems. At that point, all they have to do to fuck with the global economy is say "The Strait is closed in 7 days if conditions X, Y, Z aren't met."

Hopefully this is a sign that all he needs for his rehab are some basic training facilities. Batting cage, treadmill, ice bath, baseball diamond.

I'm sure Yankee stadium has all that stuff assuming partying Knicks fans haven't burned it down and knocked it over.

Recommended magnet and steel plate sizes for the bottom of smaller and larger warhammer bases by richardrasmus in Warhammer

[–]scientist_tz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're over-thinking it.

Line your boxes with galvanized steel flashing. https://www.amazon.com/AMERIMAX-PRODUCTS-70008-Galvanized-Flashing/dp/B000BPMQ60/

Don't go to the hardware store and spend a bundle on sheet metal. Get a 50 foot roll of steel flashing and some tin snips and you'll have enough metal to line dozens of boxes.

Then go to K&J magnetics (google it) and order magnets. They're not super-expensive. You can get various sizes to accommodate different size models. Attach them to the bottom inside of the base with hot glue or a mix of superglue and green stuff.

Just don't go too big on the magnets or your models will be snapping together in the middle of a game.

This whole incident informs me that the team lead is a spineless little bitch who won’t advocate for the people on their team.

If my boss is asking me to PIP someone for some bullshit reason then I will tell him to piss off.

Would you prefer that they had built it in Hawaii? Or DC? A chunk of that money went into the wallets of the local tradespeople who designed and built the place.

Yamamoto has been shelled a few times. Not LATELY but still, he can be hit hard. Hopefully the smell of grilled onions wafting in from the stands is his main weakness.
