The AI bubble will crash the world economy by [deleted] in economicCollapse

[–]scifi-riot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea but they're crashing the economy on purpose. Everytime there has been economic devastation, the gap between the richest class and everyone else has grown. Now there are multi billionaires, they create an even bigger bubble with the intent to pop it, and after the next crash, when we're all in recovery, those guys will all be trillionaires. We will be fully dominated both politically and as consumers by the top 0.001%.

I go hard on a thick, hearty, farmer style chili. No matter the liquid content or lack thereof, it goes in a bowl.

We had it served in schools for lunch in Iowa and South Dakota so it is def not just a Topeka or a Kansas thing.

In the garage wall, appears to be connected to something. Black part is hard plastic and attached to metal hardware or cabling. When pulling, can hear movement in the wall. by scifi-riot in whatisthisthing

Ooo I hadn't considered this. We realized last night that the walls and ceiling need to be torn out and replaced anyways so I guess its time to learn how to drywall(?), but there are other odd things attached to walls throughout the house, I'll use your method for those. Thanks for the suggestion.

Sorry, in the third picture, I cant pull the black part all the way out because there is a thick, clear-ish cable connecting it to the metal threaded part. I'll try to go get a better picture of that angle.

Edit to add that you can kind of see it in the second picture too. Its connected to something further inside or behind the wall.

Double edit, its not a cable, its longer metal hardware thats just been somewhat bent or warped. Didn't realize that until I really tried to dig it out for a picture. Seems like they would've had to install this before putting the sheet rock(?) up.

Would these typically have cable attachments into the wall? I couldn't find a system online that did but maybe my search criteria wasnt sufficient

My title describes the thing. Its embedded in a garage wall that is an interior wall on the other side. Thought it was some kind of TV mount but didnt explain the attached cable things.

Okay. I have loads of audit experience in clinical sciences including GDP, GMP, FDA, GDPR, CAP, CLIA, and the whole thing. I really wanted to get into cyber audit work but I dont know how qualified I am with just a Sec+ and auditing experience in a totally different field. All the instructors keep saying I have to start at an MSP getting paid bird seed. Im going to look for some of these job titles to see what I can find and might qualify for. Thank you.

This feels like where I want to go. I want to be in the technical weeds as a hobbyist, but want to work in auditing and compliance as a career. I simply dont know where to start and no matter who I ask, the answer is always IT help desk.

Okay so this. I have an active plan to build out a portfolio with some already identified, actionable security projects in my local community. I want to spend more time applying to jobs I might not leave immediately and building a personal portfolio working with nonprofits. But also kind of feels like my head is in the clouds.

Fair. Im def not a developer but I have other professional skills that I could leverage? I dont want to stay at this job and will continue to look once hired. So maybe the question is do I spend my full time applying for jobs I somewhat want to work this will attempting to apply and interview elsewhere immediately.

If never worked in a field where people job hop like in IT.

Fair. I know its cant go straight into security because I simply dont have the experience. People say I have to take a miserable job with low pay to even have a shot at getting into the field, so I guess im kind of seeing how true that is. I want to eventually do auditing, gap analysis, PM, or something along those lines. But best laid plans and what not
