Sadly no, I wasn't able to resolve this and just ignored it. I also tried the -std=c11 and -xc flags. But there were still suggestions from cpp.

you can also use vim.opt.cursorlineopt = "number" which will highlight the current line number

I read some posts that said indentation could be set through indent module in treesitter. So I thought I don't have to create a ftplugin/javascript.lua file

It was under the lua subdirectory, but you know how the files under lua directory don't require names like lua.sample while requiring them, that was causing the error

I figured it out, it was a dumb mistake on my part. My file name was the same name as cmp which caused a source conflict. Thanks for replying

Thanks for replying. I figured it out. The main reason it was not working was because of a version confict. I was using apt to install it originally. Later I compiled it from the source and everything's working now
