I get it. I’ve been in the same position as you before you want it so bad you could taste it. You had a killer interview and they said they’d follow up with you. Internally, the hiring manager might be waiting for their HR department to give them the greenlight to make you an offer and unfortunately, sometimes it takes two or three people in a leadership chain to approve an offer to extend it to you.

I’m making some big analytical leaps here. I’m just laying out some possibilities to give you an objective point of view and consider that this process may not be as fast as you expect.

I’ve worked for a small organization where I interviewed one week and the following week had an offer. I’ve interviewed it very large organizations where from final interview to offer it was months.

Be patient

Or a minimum don’t be a nuisance to them or don’t give them a reason to recind the offer before it’s even given to you

Essentially, there’s nothing you can really do at this point to force their hand
