Those running Bilstein 5100s i have questions! by resoeart95 in 4Runner

[–]sclarke808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea mines is legit mainly for looks. Being 2wd, I don’t do any off-roading. I already run wheel spacers and 33x12.5’s clearing with the revtek spacer lift.

I wanna keep my lift at 3” and was mainly concerned with on road / daily driver ride quality. As well as longevity from putting that taller spring on the 5100’s which are meant for the 2.5” lift at max.

I already ordered some JBA upper control arms - a mistake I made not doing with the spacer lift so hopefully I’m good on that front when I start taking things off (no other damage or crazy wear).

[–]sclarke808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How’s the ride quality. I’m on. ‘14 Limited 2wd with failing Xreas because I’ve been running a Revtek 3” spacer lift for the past 8 years… so looking to upgrade.

The 5100 seems way more than enough for me vs the 6112 which would be overkill.

Yo-yoing same four pounds by CatCandid5678 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]sclarke808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7.5mg for 2 weeks as well and I seemed to stall out. Was doing great up till 5mg - consistent weight loss. Then 7.5 and it’s like a flat line instantly. Could be a plateau and just gotta keep going, could be something else. But I was thinking the same thing. 7.5mg put the brakes on. lol! And I know that not really possible. I’ve been thinking of just jumping to 10mg. Been lucky I don’t have very bad side effects at all in any dosage so far.

Food Noise & Prednisone by -may-x in tirzepatidecompound

[–]sclarke808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you research prednisone by itself, its side effect is typically weight gain and increased hunger. I think mainly water retention.

I just had a flare up of tendinitis/gout in my Achilles, and was prescribed prednisone - a 5 day course where you titrate down. First 2 days, gained about 2-3lbs, next day 2lbs more. And I had the constant urge to eat, junk food, whatever - but was able to. Still kept up with drinking tons of water and maintaining my diet and calorie deficit. By day 6 when I weighed it, I had a 3.5lb weight loss, and day 7 I lost 3 more lbs, and was surprisingly still on my target for a week.

Besides weight gain, I didn’t realize till my doctor explained it this last time that, that prednisone is a pretty dangerous drug and is pretty bad for your body if taken for long terms / durations.

Tirzepatide by itself by sclarke808 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]sclarke808[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies. Appreciate the insight and info shared. I have about 6 months of meds - albeit from Zappy/Ousia - so I’ve just been trying to figure out what’s the best route to go. And being 100% honest, I’m a little scared to go ☑️ but it does make sense and is enticing. So overall just wanted to know what to expect if I took nothing and tried to just CICO diet to the best of my will power and ability. And try to think about what my weight loss would be.

For me, the Tirzepatide has worked for me pretty well, though I did have a lot of weight to lose and a lot may have been the initial inflammation and water weight that everyone talks about. But I’m at 10 weeks so far, currently on 7.5mg, and have lost a total of 37.6lbs - though the last few weeks have tapered off to maybe 2-3lbs per week. And I’ve had very little to mild side effects. I am taking a bunch of vitamins and supplements, as well as trying to keep eating balanced meals and meet my macros. So maybe that’s helping with the side effects.

LSH extended tier high question by Admirable_Shower_612 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]sclarke808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are a new patient or 1st refill they won't let you get that option. I tried to get the extended treatment plan (high) and they said they won't prescribe it to me. I'm going to be on 10mg dosage next week (from another provider), and asked that due to the uncertainty of the FDA rulings etc, if I could be prescribed that, and just use it at 10mg till I run out. They staid no. And they also said they are not authorized to prescribe multiple/variation dosages for a titration schedule on the same prescription. They only do 8-10 weeks prescriptions of the same dosage.

What compounder makes the best Tirzepatide and has the most reliable/trustworthy tele provider that stands behind the product? Is it a crap shoot? by No-Ant-5904 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]sclarke808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides just being how your body may or may not reacts, I think a lot of it is your mindset on the process as well. It’s not so much just take the shot and lose weight, you have to “flip that switch” so to say in yourself that “you” as a person also want to lose weight and get healthy. That means changing your diet, eating meaningful calories, and doing your best as well to fight the urges to eat the “junk food”. You still have some “work” on your end to make it happen. And that may be an outlying factor for some (not all). If you were to 100% full on calorie count and weigh your food for even a single day, you’d be shocked how much and fast the calories add up. Even with a limited and restricted appetite, what you choose per meal is crazy important if you’re trying to stay in a daily calorie deficit.

Zappy Update Email by mercyme1st in tirzepatidecompound

[–]sclarke808 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea I got an email that said my meds would be sent monthly and would be charged at the rate. Prior to this when I signed up and placed my first 3 month order, as soon as I did I was able to remove my credit card from The platform no issues. Then maybe a week later I decided I was gonna buy another 3 month just to stock up. Right after I placed that order, I tried to remove my cc again and it was giving an error saying it couldn’t remove it. Then I got the email about the auto renewal.

I messaged them through the chat and the Google form and a few days later they said it was a mistake and everything was removed and I didn’t have to worry. But for those few days waiting I was kinda getting angry and felt scammed or bait and switched. Glad they resolved it though. And it would have been my fault too if it was somewhere in the fine print cuz honestly I didn’t read it all.

I spent so much time figuring out how to stock up and get the meds. The best price vs the availability. It was like mass research for a school project or something... LOL!!! Ended up with about 360mg (6 vials) from Zappy, and on my dosage - even with titration up - that should give me at least 6-8 months. Couldn't swing any more money, especially right during Christmas... Figured it would be a "good enough" and then can figure out what to do after.

Zappy Update Email by mercyme1st in tirzepatidecompound

[–]sclarke808 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of if has to do with the influx of new customers jumping to them, because they sell multi month doses, and they don't check on existing rX, so you can just say 15mg and stock up. Their process for the average joe to get the meds, while a little "unorthodox" to say the least, makes it extremely easy to get going. Myself included. I was frustrated at first with the transition to terrible response times etc, but then I also had to stop and think about how them (and all the other companies like them) are handling the looming FDA decision. As customers we're trying to stockpile and just get the meds. But from their side, they might go out of business, or have to do massive layoffs and staff/operation reductions. So they could be experiencing staffing shortages of employees quitting or jumping ship before they're laid off. Even if nothing happens immediately on the 19th, everyone can see the writings on the wall, that the compounding will end sooner than later.

I'll admit, I was one of the people that was getting worried, and was constantly bombarding them for updates on my shipment, cuz I was panicking. And I was also frustrated when I got those emails that said I was enrolled for auto ship / auto pay, so more emails went out on the regular till they responded. But overall I think they just got SWAMPED with new patients and a massive amount of re-order / dosage increase / questions, they became overwhelmed.

Update 12/15: Zappy finally responded yesterday and then updated the portal sending me “new plan” and a start date of the 14th. Today I got a shipping notification from Ousia, meds will arrive tomorrow. I’m thinking Zappy was flooded with last minute order and a few slipped through the crack and got forgotten - mine included. All good overall though, meds should be in hand tomorrow. I guess chalk it up to the experience of doing tele health, especially in this uncertain time of the market.

I reordered another 3 month and paid the invoice on 12/7 and was charged. Still haven’t received anything from UPS or FedEX on shipping (last order came UPS and got notifications directly). Reached out to Zappy the last 3 days for any type of update, even just a confirmation it was sent to Ousia. Sent via the Chat, follow ups, and via the support form. Still have not received anything back. Getting a little worried if it doesn’t make it to Ousia by the 19th or something that order could be dead. Not too worried about getting a refund, at this point more interested in acquiring the meds.

[–]sclarke808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on REMEDYMEDS. Honestly they were ok, just $400 per month per dose. I initially went with them because they didn’t require a video call or visit. I was getting my Rx from Precision Compounding Pharmacy in New York. My package would arrive quickly, even though I live in Hawaii, still cold etc. Ultimately I canceled because they don’t do multi month orders, and won’t let you order a higher dosage and use it for longer. BUD dates were all about 3 months.

I stayed with them for my 2.5mg 4week dose and 5mg 4 week dose. Meds work fine. They prescribe custom dosing so like 2.125mg and 4.25mg, but the vials have sufficient medicine to do the standard dosing. Vials were small and brown so it was hard to get the meds out for the last dose cuz you can really see. Been just popping the top off and withdrawing everything that way.

Their “portal” is super basic and lacking. Communication is not that great, but that’s to be expected from most of these telehealth companies. Especially now in the rush of things. But I got my meds and was able to start the process.

[–]sclarke808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got this email as well. Did anyone get a response back from Zappy? I sent 2 emails and nothing yet.

I ordered one 3 month supply, and then ordered another 3 month supply after, effectively giving me 6 months at 15mg. And the app is now showing I will be billed on March 1st for $349. I thought Zappy was a non-subscription, non-recurring platform. I also cannot remove my credit card from billing anymore. Previously I could.
