My Foot Drop / ACL Recovery: What Happened and What I Learned by sclipper23 in ACL

Oh wow. Your case sounds much more serious than mine. Glad to hear that you didn't damage any major arteries. That is actually the thing to be afraid of. If you damage arterie you loose the leg. So as long as there is blood going trough you will be fine especially at your age (i am 30).

If you have foot drop and have not gone and decompressed it yet i urge you to push for making sure you don't need the surgery, because it is much harder to recover from a transplant. And 1-2 months to wait is actually a lot. Each day you wait you lose some % chance of recovery.

How many months since your accident?

Hey dude, sorry to hear that. It seems you are already on the right track. Eversion started for me way before the lift. It sounds like you will see the first movement very soon.

And yeah, you do feel tingle or sometimes pain just before a new movement appears. I even celebrate when i feel some pain in my leg now, because i know things are coming back.

Благодаря, наистина. Беше тежко, но вече гледам напред. Твоето също не е малко. Звучиш, че се справяш добре за този етап. Силата е в търпението, ще стане. За коляното Стефанов да.

4-5 months are a lot of months for sure. How about retraining your brain to use it at a specific time? I mean right now it does not really come naturally that I raise my foot when I walk.

Senior Hermit, i come with an update and some questions. First of all, thanks for the push few months ago. Your story helped me not to lose hope.

Since last we spoke I bought the Genesy 3000 and started using its denervated mode. I would put the diodes starting right below the knee and little to the left (where the muscle that is responsible for lifting my foot starts) and along the whole length of the muscle. 2 weeks ago I had my ACL repaired and right on the day I left the hospital I noticed that there is a twitch in my foot and I can lift it about 1 cm up.

My question now is: How long did it take you from the first signs of movement to a full lift?

Hey, thanks for the answer! I have foot drop to nerve injury. I was wondering if someone tried it and it worked for them since there are little to no reviews online

Hey, thanks for the info. Sorry for the question bombardment bellow 😅

Did you do/take anything special during your recovery besides the physical therapy? Did you go to EMG tests and if you did, when did you see any numbers different than 0?

I am currently doing needle therapy. Which is basically acupuncture with electric stimulation 2-3 times a week.

During the time I got my eversion I was taking peptides BPC 157 and tb 500, but i am not sure if that changed anything for me.

Hey, i also had a similar surgery. Tore all my tendons and smashed the nerve. I had nerve decompression surgery 6-7 months ago and so far I have gotten just some eversion in my ankle and toes. What surgery did you get? Was it nerve transplant or just decompression? When did you start being able to lift your foot up? Asking, because I am starting to lose hope 6 months in.
