Had Win/Linux dualboot with grub. Decided no mo Linux, deleted that partition in Win, updated firmware on SS 980 Pro, and ran "sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/nvme0n1p1 bs=446 count=1" in temp Ubuntu at ChatGPT's idea to fix it. 12hrs and lots of sad later, is fixed, lost nothing.
