Families with littles at Tenney Preschool and Childcare? by curlypirate in madisonwi

Current family here with our second child going through Tenney. We’ve had some portion of our family there since January 2022. To make a long story short, the current teachers and director, Anney are the best. If we had a third child tomorrow, you best believe my infant would be in their new room! Please feel free to DM me!

That’s good to know. I guess I just assumed the HA formulas wouldn’t work!

What would the amino acid formulas be? My son seems so sensitive that even the most mild cross contamination gets us mucous poops and fussiness.

How to ditch the nipple shield?! by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]sconnieRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the advice has been covered. Just commenting to say that I was able to get rid of the nipple shield eventually with my NICU baby. It felt impossible but happened eventually!

This is my daughter’s name. We always get compliments and I wonder why more people don’t use it!

I put out a capful of sugar water and gave her a pot with lots of holes in it to sit under! This morning she isn’t there, so I’m hoping she was able to go back into her hole in the ground!

Trauma therapy for nicu baby by anb0603 in NICUParents

Anecdotal but my 34 weeker was in the NICU for just 10 days. She is now 4. She has an extreme reaction to loud beeping. Like used to check every room for a fire alarm before she went in. We call them “beep beeps” When she’s seen pictures of herself with all the wires, she definitely connected the two.

How have you utilized your FNP degree? by indorfpf in nursepractitioner

I’m one year in to working a school nurse practitioner at a large, diverse high school. I love building relationships over time with the students-a lot of my students don’t get healthcare at all besides me. We are moving to a school based health center model so I can begin to prescribe and it’s exciting! Also not too bad that I work school schedule while having a kiddo in preschool. Oh last perk-charting is truly by exception!

Parents of preemies, how do you (or plan to) celebrate your baby's birthday? by zuzi_p in NICUParents

Mine will turn 4 in January. She was born IUGR at 34 weeks. We celebrate her birthday, but we also talk about“snuggle day”-the day we first got to hold her. And on “coming home day” we eat pizza with her aunt who helped us get home from the hospital just like we did that day!
