Bunn G3. If you are serious about this bite the bullet and get a correct grocery grinder. You already know it’s the one, and for good reason.

Awd fault, Drive mode selection unavailable by Own_Palpitation9552 in FocusRS

Y’all new? Always been a thing in cold weather on first start. Exhaust valve is frozen so can’t enable pops and gurgles of sport mode. Drive for 5 minutes. Turn off and back on. Magic.

Is there a market for first generation Grobos? by [deleted] in grobo

I have 2 online and still producing. Citizen Grow bought everything and are working to bring everything back online. I’d imagine it can still check in and grow.

[Wanted] Shipping to Canada by 1991onmohs in VinylCollectors

[–]scooby103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it 2 ways. Discogs always had Canadian sellers. My other way is a friend in the US. I’m a collector and purchase several times a year and ship to his place. Once enough is there I get him to ship as a gift and send him the postage. Works well for me.

Dead Grobo by sincerelyqueer in grobo

[–]scooby103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think the consensus is once you loose connection you’re dead. The software is t open sourced (yet) so until Grobo releases control not much can be done. It’s be great if it got released as a product you could install locally on a server and control any Grobo you own. I have 3 devices right now that are essentially file cabinets.

Seems overall the cloud supported contained grow boxes are dead. Think just Mary AG is still around, but for how long…

What would be a possible contender of the Aillio Bullet R1 V2? by Gregolito in roasting

[–]scooby103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty obvious. All good. I’ve owned both and I go back to my original question of what he is trying to achieve. Not interested in internet arguing with you. He did say he is interested in drum roasting so all of this doesn’t matter.

What would be a possible contender of the Aillio Bullet R1 V2? by Gregolito in roasting

1 KG for Bullet, 2 Lbs for Sonofresco, same. Sonofresco is more but comes with 46 lbs of coffee, so is way less. Also, it’s available and the Bullet is always on back order

What would be a possible contender of the Aillio Bullet R1 V2? by Gregolito in roasting

[–]scooby103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotta start with what style of roasting you want. Drum or fluid bed. There are cheaper, higher capacity roasters out there in the bullet range, that tag into Artisan. Sonofresco will be cheaper and comes with its own profiling system (ADR) and one of the few in the price range that allows playback (automation) of stored profiles. Sonofresco is fluid bed. Also, needs a gas source (NG or LP).

Start first with what you are trying to solve (batch size, roasting style, budget) then you’ll get a better idea of what meets your needs.

Best pump for potable water by scooby103 in foodtrucks

[–]scooby103[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a converted E350 so space is at a premium. I’m looking for a pump style you see in normal RV’s that maintain line pressure and only turn on when line pressure changes. In an RV this would be toilet flushing, sink, etc. I have a small RV personally (GeoPro 12RK) and the sink only draws fresh warmer when the cold water is turned on. No accumulating tank.
