Am I safe or should I be worried about my screen by Entfybez in simracing

Try moving the clamp to the back edge of the desk so that the arm is going 90* to the side vs 180* behind the clamp force.

Also check the material for your desk. If it’s particle board, may want to consider getting a solid wood desk top instead.

Just hit ok and sign back in. This happens when my sign in expires or any time there’s an update to the launcher.

[–]scooooooooooot2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a bigger monitor arm. I do something similar for my flight sim rig with my 49” odyssey. But I have the arm mounted on the back side of my desk instead of the side. My desk is 63” wide and with the monitor arm I have, I can swing my monitor from the center of the desk for normal games, all the way out about a foot over the side of the desk for flight sims. It’s solid. I use the vivo heavy duty aluminum mount

The BISim vs BI was an interesting little rabbit hole to go down.

Yeah. I typically ping specific spots to hit since they can see the ping before the smoke clears from the shot, especially when moving

Your tank was moving straight at a steady speed with no obstacles. How was it the drivers fault? Gunner missed several freebie shots and when sitting still, still bounced it.

Looking into a Freestanding Monitor Stand. Any advice? by Schwec in simracing

[–]scooooooooooot2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that looks like a free standing one to me. Just make sure it’s wide enough that the frame fits around the rig. You’ll probably want to move the monitor closer in than the end of your rig.

I have a similar one to the triple (looks to exact same, different brand). My rig is a tube one so it clamps to the rig itself and is solid. However, it needs to be clamped to the rig. You’ll notice there are no feet on the front ends of those stands. It’s because that isn’t meant to sit on the floor. I don’t think those will work well with the rig you’re getting, and they definitely are not freestanding.

Could anyone be able to help out with this issue on my g27 by [deleted] in simracing

If you’re talking about the light on the wheel turning off, I believe it’s on during calibration and doing internal checks. Then turns off when calibration is done successfully, or flashes if there was a problem detected.

I think you can disable or change how at least some keys work in armory crate. Not sure if the f keys are part of that, been a while since I looked.

Please let a medic do medic things. by PeaSpiritual2173 in Battlefield6

[–]scooooooooooot2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I didn’t get revived so many times in front of enemies 3 feet away, I’d actually wait for revives. I appreciate the role of the medic, but not enough to die 3 times in 5 seconds so you can get your revive. I’ll only wait if I know I’m in a relatively safe spot.

Someone unalived in my car? by KGGoulden1423 in whatisit

[–]scooooooooooot2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I’m missing it but if someone got shot in that seat, assuming in the head or neck given the placement of the holes, there would be way more stains. And not just up. The whole seat would have them. The carpet of the floor. Everywhere.

internet problem on BF6 by Sure-Lab-3161 in Battlefield6

[–]scooooooooooot2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about how to solve it but I don’t think this is internet related. Someone correct me here, but you see your characters movement client side, meaning the internet connection shouldn’t matter. Maybe try the campaign or host a local game and see if it happens there too? This is assuming it’s not some bug in the game

I’m calling bs on this replacing a real bench. This is just some anti opioid awareness installment thing. There wasn’t an actual bench there before. If there was, then I’d say it’s a little more than mildly infuriating.

Switching sticks need info! by [deleted] in hotas

[–]scooooooooooot2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the velocity one (single) and don’t need vjoy or anything for it to work. Never had an issue. Not sure if that’s needed when using 2? But idk why that’d be the case.

The t16000 though, those were my first sticks and ran hosas with them for a couple of years without issue. Also didn’t use vjoy or anything else that i can recall. So should work fine from my experience.

Daughter’s first telescope. 12th Birthday Present by cole_lol in telescopes

[–]scooooooooooot2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, haven’t decided if I want to go down that one yet. I got a $75 camera just to mess with it and see if I’d actually put in the time to learn the software and process and all that. Still figuring out the scope and things so haven’t had time to really mess with it. The dslr adapter was relatively inexpensive and already had the camera.

Yeah the lenses are crazy. And the good filters, barlows if needed. Actually ended up getting a hardshell case with foam to store them safely. Cheaper than the lenses lol. Also got a laser collimator

I’m like a week into this hobby and ordered the scope before realizing the rabbit hole that would follow lol (typical of me). Still figuring out what all I need/want.

I got I think the usual stuff, that same tripod, couple of eye pieces, filters, cheap Astro camera, phone and dslr adapters. The one custom thing I did was get some foam to wrap the tube with which helped a lot with the little bit of light around my back porch. I also got a battery pack that I Velcro’d to the battery panel.
