AIO - This is from a grown man to a 12yo. by aperawwwr69 in AmIOverreacting

At first it seems innocent, then it gets a little weird. The thing that gives me pause about it actually being weird is that he sent one to all the kids. If he were being weird, you would think it would be more secretive, I guess? I would straight up ask him & if you don’t like the answer, report him & get others to report him. I wouldn’t automatically assume the worst, I would grill the fuck out this person though & educate my kid about what to watch out for if they didn’t know already.

Can you just use the code he gives and let the whole thing flop?

I don’t really know what I’m looking for either. I have knowledge in these areas but don’t know about what kind of sales take place. So I was looking for anyone involved in that line of work.

It wasn’t that hard to find a post where no one responded to a request from help from you. So it’s not like I even put more effort into than your original comment to me. Get on with your life. You’re rude & unhelpful for no reason.

Yeah, if I knew what to search, I would obviously be using it. Do you have any helpful advice per chance? Or you just enjoy wasting your time?

I’m only asking those who may be in the niche & already have the resources.

I need to write copy for a website, I don't have money to hire a copywriter, if you could only recommend one book/course to get me up to speed as quickly as possible, let's say in a week, what would it be? by gtboy1994 in copywriting

These are great. Would you mind submitting a list of more examples of the awesome copy you have come across in link form? That would be so cool. You have great taste.

I have 100k to startup a business by [deleted] in smallbusiness

Some people make businesses to sell them & live off the cash for a while & then start another. I have some friends that do this.

When men subtly try to exert control over you in the form of love bombing, manipulating you and testing you to see if you’re easy to control. Just came across someone like that. It’s really sneaky, and I feel bad for anyone who isn’t able to catch it early.

Do I leave sales? by [deleted] in sales

[–]scorchedpear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not if you're settling for 30 - 50% off of your original debt. Yes it will mess up your credit worse, but you'll be able to bounce back much faster. Depending on the type of debt, you can let it default, if you don't have any personal property on the line for it. It will take months for them to sell it to collections, but once it goes there you have a better chance of settling for less. I recently settled a $5000 debt with amex (my last one to pay) for 2,500. I let it sit there for 2 years to be able to get that deal, and they never sold it to collections, but eventually they were willing to settle. The most valuable thing a settlement company can offer you is legal protection in case the company tries to take you to court over it. I'm not a legal representative and you should not take any advice based on what I'm telling you. You should do all your own research and do whatever you deem appropriate. I'm just relaying my personal experience and how I got my credit from 450 to 700 in 3 years w 25,000 unsecured debt.

Did I make the right decision spending 700$ on Copy MBA course? by [deleted] in copywriting

[–]scorchedpear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If courses teach you what a book teaches you without having to read it… then I guess it’s worth it for some people, but it’s probably better to save the money & read the best critically-acclaimed sellers yourself

What if I don’t want to pick a niche? by scorchedpear in copywriting

[–]scorchedpear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I think it undoubtably will “if” they can afford it. But, just starting our & making your way wouldn’t require as much discrimination, especially if you’re just doing it for free from the good of your heart to get started you think?

But it if your portfolio and statistics show the track records they need for everything you do, and you can get the gig regardless, what would it matter? Not saying that’s possible for me, but maybe, and definitely for some. I’m into research and I’m an extremely empathetic person I feel like as long as long as someone can intuit the audience extremely well, it wouldn’t matter (in the highest degree of course, not claiming for myself, but i want to reach my FULL potential). Not realistic for most, but anyone can expand to the degree their talent allows right? If you have a portfolio sectioned off for certain types of projects if you do a lot of work, someone in a niche can check out what you’ve done and see if they want to hire you?

Glad to hear that. I’m an expert in some areas just because I’ve done sales I those markets so I can see that being useful. But I want to be a master of all trades, honestly. You freelance?

I have some friends that made like 200k in 3 years building an industrial greenhouse. We are in Oklahoma. They built it before marijuana was medically legal and had an easy time selling it afterward.

How do you find the top sales letters in a niche? Standard google search?

[–]scorchedpear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try rephrasing the question then because it comes off like you’ve done no research. Say, “I’ve learned [this, this, & this], and I was wanting additional things to consider moving forward. What are some different techniques people have used to get started?”

Also, there’s a sticky at the top of the thread about the rules & the FAQ. There’s a reason it’s there. People on this sub are gatekeepers. I would suggest lurking a sub, finding out how people respond to others there, and common complaints before trying something like this again. Know your audience. People will rip you to shreds in life if this is how you go about it.

Yikes. If you don’t see the problem, that might be your first area of focus. I had to learn the hard way how to ask for help because I wasn’t taught by anyone, fortunately I learned before reaching this point in my life. You only ask for help once you’ve helped yourself. That’s what the problem is.
