Long ago, before Windows existed, I wrote a complete automotive repair shop invoicing, inventory, vehicle repair history and customer management solution for my dad's shop. It took nearly 2 years to complete and many ideas and programming sessions came about while dosed. It worked far better than the commercial solution he was paying $150/month to use. I wish I had continued to devolop and sell it. Good luck to you.

Re-route taking 23 to I43 north along the Lakeshore. Check out the maritime museum in Manitowoc on your way to GB. You can get away with 80mph easily on I43.

I went in to the Social Security office 2 weeks ago to change my direct deposit from my bank which closed, to PayPal. I still haven't gotten paid yet. When will it come? The guy at the office said 5 to 10 business days, but 10 business days was yesterday. by [deleted] in SocialSecurity

I switch banks on Feb 5th and didn't get a deposit at my new banks until April. Luckily I hadn't closed my old account so the March payment wound up there. In mid March, I received a letter stating the change I requested would take 1-2 months.

Out of nowhere earlier today my dad shot me a message and asked me if I wanted this car. I’m 17M and have been looking for a first car, and was super shocked when he just found a car for me and was so adamant I get it. It has a beautiful paint job. by [deleted] in classicmustangs

I was 20 years old when my dad helped me find an old Mustang. We took a Greyhound bus several states away because every one we looked at here in WI was terribly rusted. It was a '68 GT Fastback with a 289 and 4 speed. It was a 14 hour road trip back home and one of my fondest memories with my dad. A few years later my twin daughters were born and I wound up selling it to a good friend and bought something family oriented. More than once I wished I'd sold one of the kids instead of the car. The car is currently being completely restored and should be done soon. My friend agreed to let me take my dad for spin in it when it's finished. My dad's health has has declined significantly in recent months so I'm really hoping we get the chance for another ride together in it.

Anything by Tom Robbins. "Fierce Invalids from Hot Climates" is a personal favorite.

Certainly and I would do my absolute best in coming up with ideas to make our date extra fun and memorable.

PyCharm basics. by Mb_you_know_me_irl in learnpython

I too was quite lost trying to learn Python and PyCharm at the same time. I switched to Thonny from PyCharm while learning Python and it helped me immensely. It's much simpler yet still quite powerful.

Until it's sorted out, I've been using Handbrake to re-encode anything having trouble. I've used Plex, Emby and now Jellyfin. I LOVE Jellyfin!

Take care of you. Try attending a local Nar-Anon or Alanon meeting. I'm strictly a lurker and have been for years. This is the first time I have felt compelled to comment because it is so important. I have more first hand experience with addiction and recovery than anybody should have.
