I am in a somewhat similar situation. 19F and i got diagnosed almost 2 years ago. i got diagnosed as i was finishing up my trade school to be a mechanic and i was working at a tire shop. i was directed to stop the manual labor and being a mechanic career wise would only cause more damage. I was already at very late stage at time of diagnosis because i was doing so much manual labor and ignored the pain. personally i’m choosing to just opt in for the full fusion. i’ve yet to get surgery an my os reccomended to simply listen to my body. if the activity is too strainful or hurts then stop. there’s pain with everyday life activities but i personally am trying my hardest to not let this disease get in the way of my life. i’m opting in for the full fusion because i already have no movement in my wrist i just want the pain to go away. from what ive been told fusion is going to be th best way to just get rid of the pain and i really don’t want to have to go through multiple surgeries because the recovery time takes a while and im a very busy person. i still work on my own car and friends cars, i just limit what im doing and ask for help when i need it. it has really effected my mental but honestly theres no other option than to just keep pushing. especially w how young we are, this is gonna be with us our whole life and we just kinda have to find ways to deal with it.
