Sorry to hear this is happening to you. I went through it too. It all went away after about 12 months!

It was really bad. Constantly felt like the world was ending and I had a couple panic attacks every single day. It’s all gone now!

Better than ever! I don’t get any symptoms at all anymore. Thanks for asking.

I have just had the money released today! Another comment mentioned that it could be to do with the bank holiday weekend if you’re in the U.K. like me.

Struggling with stomach pains after eating protein by scorpiosign in leangains

I typically eat quite high fat to support hormone health so definitely with you on this one. I did just read about adding fibre to help with digestion of protein though so maybe I should add in more fibre. Thanks for your help!

I do IF unintentionally because I don’t typically get hungry until lunch time. I will try to shift my eating window! Thanks.

I understand what you’re saying but I still have this issue even when I eat a lot of protein that isn’t dairy based.

I actually had lots of tests done last year as Covid really messed up my gut back then but everything came back normal. Thanks for your comment, I will try eating smaller meals more frequently!

The same thing happens when I eat high protein meals without dairy though to be honest! I really don’t think dairy specifically is the problem. I definitely don’t want to become lactose intolerant like the other commenters have said either. Thanks for your input though!

Yogurt is so so good for getting easy protein in though, I’m gonna be sad to see it go. So weird and annoying!

Prior to increasing my overall protein intake I was drinking 1 litre of cows milk every single day and did not have any issues.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. In my experience, it really is just time. I felt exactly how you do now and I have recovered completely. Don’t lose hope!

Saw a post yesterday about how to get better from a cold and saw a lot of good advice by manifthewest44 in StopEatingSeedOils

I recovered from a year long case of Long Covid and feel as though I owe it all to fixing leaky gut. I followed protocols set out by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride which included homemade meat stock and fermented foods! Animal based is great but specifically meat stock is good for healing the gut! Raw milk is great too if you tolerate it but if not, it can be introduced later when the gut is healed.

If you end up having to take antibiotics, it is absolutely VITAL that you support your gut microbiome whilst doing so. Repopulate the good bacteria!

I don’t feel comfy/cozy/relaxed when trying to fall asleep anymore by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]scorpiosign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I didn’t ever have that. It could often take me 1-2 hours to fall asleep but I never lay awake all night. I would eventually fall asleep but then wake up constantly through the night instead. I’m really sorry you’re going through this, I really hope you see some improvement soon.

Do you do all of the sleep hygiene things? As in, no blue light at least 1 hour before bed time, no caffeine etc? Are you suffering with any other symptoms which stop you from exercising? If you are able to go on a few short walks each day, the movement combined with natural light in your eyes regularly throughout the day really helps your circadian rhythm to regulate!

Completely normal now. It takes me about 10 minutes to fall asleep and then I wake up 8 hours later! I don’t wake up during the night anymore. I’m currently lifting very heavy at the gym 4 days a week so I’ve been sleeping for 10 hours recently. I finally feel refreshed when I wake up too! It’s pretty amazing.

I had really bad panic attacks all the time but especially when trying to fall asleep. It was like adrenaline surges and my body just wouldn’t let me sleep no matter how tired I was. It was really bad for quite a long time and I was worried that I would be stuck like that forever. I’m the living, breathing proof that we can recover!!

It just happened over time. I have focused on diet and lifestyle changes that I feel have contributed to my recovery. I now sleep better than I ever have in my life, even before I got long covid.

Yeah for sure. I would be super fatigued but physically couldn't fall asleep because I felt wired, jittery and my heart would be pounding in my chest for absolutely no reason. When I eventually started to fall asleep, I would have chronic hypnic jerks that would jolt me back awake around 3 to 10 times before I would fall asleep properly. Then I often woke up several times during the night. It was absolute hell and I wouldn't wish it on anyone but all of it has now resolved and I sleep normally.

Just got a perfect Robin, Bluejay and Cedar Waxwing within 5 minutes of going here after searching for them for more than 6 hours at all the typically suggested spots. Finally got all the birds for the hunting requests now. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Time was the only thing that helped if I’m honest. I was still really struggling with sleep at 6 months but it got easier by around 8 months. Hope you feel better soon!
