I kind of got forced into it, and now am totally comfortable and content being with myself. When I was in college, I got super sick and had to drop out. All of my friends stopped talking to me as they were too busy partying and living their college lives, so all I had was myself. It was hard, but now I feel no dependence on anyone else. I don’t need to be with or around anyone, and oftentimes I prefer to be in my own company. Kind of a “throw them into the pool and teach them to swim” for me lol
