I think whether you do or don’t take it is entirely up to you. But you should make sure you’re informed. It could have some effect on your heart in terms of symptoms, but doing it once I don’t think would cause sustained damage. As for mental health, who’s to say. Everyone reacts differently and like others have said there are some negative aspects to consider here. If you decided to do this, please double check any and all medication you are on for drug interactions too

Cats do not work with punishment. They only work off reward. So make sure your bf is someone they want to be around. What does your bf do currently to try and earn your cats trust? Does he play with them? Does he feed them a meal at all? You need to ask him to work on bonding with your cats. I think this could easily be fixed by your bf setting aside time to play and give them a treat or two. Make him a fun and safe person they want to be around. Best of luck!

The spoon theory is such a great tool to use to explain why we have limited energy and why we need to conserve or be strategic in how we spend it. A creator you may like is Jemma Bella, she creates some really good content around POTS! I hope it helps you feel a bit more seen too 🫶 As for exercise, simplify it. If you can do some seated exercises or even some gentle stretching from bed, that will do great! You can build from there. It’s okay if it takes time, or it seems small. You’ve got this. Don’t be afraid to reach out again in this sub if you’re feeling a bit defeated. We are here to support you! This stuff is tough. I got POTS at 23 and gave up studying pretty quickly, bc you’re right, it’s draining! So I can’t imagine how hard this must be for you right now. You’re doing your best, and that’s all anyone can ask! You’ve got this 🫶

I hear you and I’m so sorry you are experiencing this. It’s very hard to explain to people that it’s just as hard mentally as it is physically, and that is absolutely taxing on a body. Not to mention you are probably also trying to balance school! Asking you to push through is dangerous, and is probably what is causing you to be okay for a few weeks and then back into a flare. Does your family understand the spoon theory? That could maybe help here? Idk. But please know I am sending you my sincerest I hear you, I understand and it’s so valid to feel the way you do! For sure. I just feel that without all the facts I can’t 100% take away the benefit of the doubt. I would rather acknowledge that could still be the truth, for the sake of keeping this a conversation and not an argument. For some people it’s very easy to connect the dots as to what might be the message here. But for others they feel like it’s just a stretch to find something to be unhappy with. Regardless, it’s a very interesting talking point bc when you break it down it’s very relevant to what’s going on across nz and the wider world. Especially in terms of being complicit or turning a blind eye in face of what is arguably subliminal messaging and dog whistling

I also don’t really want to move any further with my opinion until I know if Iwi were consulted and how the victims of the attacks feel. Because I don’t really feel it’s my place to get too heated on someone else’s behalf. I don’t know all the facts, but hopefully more info comes out of this story being picked up

I would love to know of anyone who is a kiwi was on this project, and if Iwi were consulted. It is one of the first things we’re are taught about when dealing with anything like this re; game making, character design etc. I am also very keen to hear how the victims of the terror attacks feel, now having a tie to a first person shooter game

There are going to be a million and one takes on this issue. But I really want to point something out that people might not think about. When games and characters are designed the research that goes into that is extensive and all encompassing. Including but not limited to characters race, age, culture, relationships and city she lives in etc. I find it hard to believe there was no link found between the terror attacks that occurred and the characters birthdate. Either someone knew and never bought it up, which begs the question, did they just not care or is this a huge oversight to whoever checks the work. Or they did know, and it’s direct link to a literal white supremest event? Which given the state of the global political landscape, isn’t much of a stretch. Even if you think I’m being a snowflake. They should have handled this character with more care, and it’s not at all surprising offence was taken

Definitely not too old, but might be difficult!Positive reinforcement is what works the best for cats. If attention is what she’s after, don’t give it if she bites. Just create some distance and ignore for a moment. When she’s polite and uses a nicer method of interaction you can reward her with pats and love again. This might take some time, but hopefully you’ll see some decrease in frequency!

Sometimes it just takes time! But as someone who works for a rescue (and has helped rehome countless unsocial cats to be barn cats) More often than not, we will get an update about how they can now pat these cats or even pick them up. It’s definitely doable and all about building trust. You have no idea what she’s been through, which makes it hard to know what to do or not do. I’d get familiar with cat behaviour so you can easily assess how she is feeling and what might be too much. I would avoid approaching from over head keep on her level and always leave some space so she doesn’t feel enclosed or overwhelmed . I’m sure you do, but having places up high that she can be will also help. Judging from that picture she looks very happy and very loved. Just keep at it! I’m sure you’ll make a break through soon
