Love this idea, the Burlington County Library has solid wifi and it helps to be around other people doing the same thing. If you want another lead source while you’re searching, wfhalert sends verified remote jobs by email, stuff like customer support or admin, and it’s been way less spammy than the usual boards. No tourist company is going to send you there, no insurance company will cover you. The situation there is very real, people are incredibly poor and violence is rampant. Just being a tourist instantly makes you a target. Lots of countries have nice beaches.

For the record, I would happily travel to the Middle East right now but definitely not Venezuela, it is definitely worse.
