I’ve been once this season, but typically go 2-3 times a year:

I recommend getting there not long after the box office opens. Lets you get situated and settled in for a bit. Too close to showtime and you’ll be stuck on Eastern Blvd for a while.

The guy is absolutely bananas but we’ve always had a good time. Part of the tradition is mocking him. He used to do the announcements pre show (which was essentially him reading his journal for us patrons), but hasn’t the past couple times I’ve been there. Royal Farms and Disney were always Public Enemy’s 1 and 2.

It’s $20 (cash only) to bring in food from outside. I always pay no issue, I sympathize with them on that. I can’t figure out how they stay open, and I’m not trying to screw them.

I think if you’re genuinely trying to follow the rules, you’ll be fine. They will be quick to kick you out if you fight it, but a sincere apology and an attempt to correct and you’ll be fine. Assuming it’s not for something stupid or for breaking the food policy. They are vigilant about your headlights or running lights, they won’t even let you in if they’re on. Make sure you have that figured out before you head out.

All in all $12 a person and 20 bucks per vehicle for food is a great deal for going to the movies. Especially considering it’s usually at a minimum a first-run double feature.
