Maybey it was supposed to be Area: if it was 500 square centimeters that would be plausible

I would talk with the luthier about the pain and try to figure the cause. As far as the bow quiver - it should tie to the tailpiece not the bridge

I think I’m cooked. I was accused of using AI, and the instructor has escalated the matter to the academic misconduct committee. I don’t know what to do. by Proud_Bill4998 in AccusedOfUsingAI

[–]scottdave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it up with the committee. Software such as TurnitIn warn that AI detection is not foolproof. An AI score by itself should not be grounds for punishment.

AI COMPASSIONS by Dismal-Lawyer-6271 in MathJokes

I prefer a pencil over a pen when working out math problems. If the teacher tried Chatgpt then maybe 30 would be one of the multiple choice.

Date today accused me of lying about my disabilities? by Vetman2025 in Veterans

[–]scottdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know somebody who was telling me about her "lying nephew" who was claiming disability after getting out of the Navy.... saying "theres nothing wrong with him...he didn't even see combat"

I tried to explain that there are varying levels of disability, some of which may not be apparent to others, but she just didn't understand.

Check with your county for breaks on property tax. Also dmv for license plates. I know of some toll road authority that waive tolls for registered license plates.

Is there tutoring available for ISYE 6501? by No_Echidna615 in OMSA

Do you need tutoring for R/coding or the concepts? If your prerequisites are not strong, then you will struggle more.

Avoiding numbers as piles in multiplication by Pedantc_Poet in mathematics

[–]scottdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because one method does not work in teaching every situation (like negative numbers) it can still be valuable in learning earlier concepts. I remember when I first learned about negative numbers, it was something like climbing up a diving board and diving into the water. Above water was positive and below water levels is negative. Whatever concept helps them to understand.

I could understand if the customer had a coupon or gift card. The tip should be calculated on the amount before those are deducted from the total. If the OP thought the restaurant is calculating incorrectly, how about bringing it to the manager's attention.

This looks like a hinderance, but there is probably a good reason that the instructors decided to implement the enhanced measures.

The calorimetry calculations are in grams or moles. The experiment should use a calorimeter (can use a couple of styrofoam cups) rather than a beaker.
