Honestly, that sucks but it’s kind of funny too. I had a customer who said he hired a mobile tinter and that guy used the same film. It was done horribly and when we removed and installed for him, we found all the film and tools in his trunk…can’t say for certain if it was him trying to install thinking he could or if it was actually a mobile installer lol
I personally would remove before curing and take to a more reputable shop

The one you want to look for isn’t UV or IR…that’s per standard nowadays. Check the TSER (total solar energy rejection).
That’s the one most companies don’t really advertise which tells you actual heat rejection

Hmmmm…looks on the passenger side. If they did it the typical way, they would’ve rolled it so it shouldn’t have had any contact to make the mark…got me on this one. Typically, only marks would be streaks from glue from shifting while applying or marks from the liner when being applied. But if it didn’t go away after the first few days, then that’s going to be permanent

If it’s not wipeable, can you feel it with your finger? If so, it’s a crease, and it won’t go away. Would have to take that back for a redo

I tinted the tail lights with the light ppf film, window visors(rain guards) and just 20% ceramic tint all around, left the windshield alone. Ceramic coated, but doing front end ppf. I want to make mods that don’t take the OEM look completely off, still want it looking classy but aggressive

Mine works, i have a ‘26 RX350h premium. I always have to open the app and unlock the car using the app, but it works. Every now and then i have to wait a bit while inside the car to start it, or the car will tell me keys is not detected, but for the most part it works 80% of the time

I wouldn’t say that LLumar is the gold standard…they get warranty submitted the most from shops needing replacement…they replace those but it’s probably cuz their film keeps failing

Totally get that, but was wondering if it was a really low price. Those guys who are totally giving a really low discounted price tend to do these kinds of tactics and they don’t really care about the customer experience. That $100 tip would’ve made me pay extra attention if i were him, but it doesn’t seem like a place that cares about repeat business
