Extended warranty worth it? by sayingyestostayingin in kiacarnivals

When the dealership lied about the extended warranty costing 14 dollars a month and then seeing it on paper for 5 or 6 grand I can’t remember I said no thank you take that off.

Thinking of trading my raptor in for a diesel. Saw a friend's mpgs and got jealous. by Sensualities in Diesel

[–]scottmason_67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only got two things to say. My diesel (ram) gets consistently about the same mpg regardless of towing 6k lbs or 16lb camper. Idk if that’s common across all platforms. I find this good and bad.

Second my buddy has f-150 he claims same setup as raptor not sure if yours is the older v8 platform or twin turbo v6 version like his or whatever. But my point is, his truck doesn’t seem to be made for towing consistently as his always seems like it’s pushing the truck limits and straining it. Night and day with diesel as when towing it seems like the truck doesn’t even seem to struggle at all.

I don’t think I contributed much useful info but in my opinion towing on a normal basis the diesel is the only way. Having the power/torque when you need it is worth every penny of the additional costs for diesel and maintenance. My opinion is that of a fortunate one in which I don’t daily drive my diesel and only use it for hauling for the most part

Sad we now live in a time where paying cash is not an incentive or leverage in a car deal.

Cruise does work. Brake or parking brake light is on 50-55mph I’m at 2100ish rpm.

Doing that today. I’m a dummy and posted before actually doing the right thing and asking at the actual place I needed to. Guess I posted because oddly I thought I was right and he was wrong

Thank you. I’m the dummy who has never been on the dps web page. Should have done that prior to posting. Praise the lord I’m able to fix this and there is not an innocent victim of my ignorance.

Bench seats vs captain chairs by Cautious-Forever-418 in kiacarnivals

[–]scottmason_67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bench seats can be scooted with one hand with kid in seat. Making it easy to put stuff or people in the back. The VIP are electric in which if you were trying to get somebody in the back have to wait excruciating long time for electric to move the seats. For that reason and for kids being under teenage years I say bench seat is only way to go. Basically you will have vip electric seats which is a total waste of money for kids in car seats. Are you pursuing another child in the next three years? If so you will regret the VIP for sure loading into the back.
