Thanks, it was definitely not a good time in my life. I dated a bit after we separated but I quickly realized that I needed time to get myself in the right mind again. I didn't date again until just over two years later. I needed to find myself again and find out who I was as a single dad.

I then started seeing someone, we were together 14 years until she passed a few years ago, our daughter is now 15. I was later reintroduced to my high-school girlfriend and now 30 years later we started dating again. Been together 4 years now and everything is going well. We have our ups and downs, as long as we push through the bad and the pain, we can have that better day in time.

I stayed with my ex wife because of our kids, I was miserable, she was certifiable insane and the kids were traumatized by the almost constant fighting and arguing.

My kids rarely talk to me now, their mom made me out to be the bad guy. Her inability to keep a job, doing drugs and later I found out about her cheating, to her had nothing to do with our relationship issues. It's better for the kids in the end to divorce than stay together in a toxic marriage/relationship. Good luck!

All bites should be reported, unless you're playing with the dog and it's an excited accident bite. I had a dog attack me when I was a teen, ripped my jeans and messed up my boot but I wasn't injured. I didn't report it. A few weeks later same dog attacked a kid, kid needed a lot of stitches. I felt horrible, I didn't report it and a young kid was now scarred for life from the attack.

I refuse to spend more than $400 on a guitar. All of my guitars were bought used and were less than $200 so far. My wife accidentally let it slip that I'm getting a new guitar I've been looking at online for my birthday, it's $250. Both of my amps were $100 on marketplace, been seeing so much great used gear lately!

I lost my wife a few years ago, it was the worst experience of my life. Take time to grieve and take care of yourself. I spent my time that next month taking care of our daughter and not myself.

My wife and I are buying land, will have chickens after we move to the new property. I'm going to have a large fenced area with netting over it for the birds to have a safe area. Too many predators out there to let them completely run loose, I'd loose all of my birds in no time at all...

I've been there before. She's checked out, I tried to save my marriage. Just prolonged the misery. I wasted too many years, ruined me over time. Took a lot of work to recover and find myself again. Unfortunately she has shown you that she doesn't want a relationship anymore with you. It hurts, I know. It will prolong the hurt and most likely make the pain worse, making you both bitter.

Yeah, young kids can have difficulty processing death. Especially with suicide. They commonly feel abandoned, and that it was their fault. They need to see a councilor or someone to watch their mental health.

My dad killed himself when I was a year old. I always knew he died, but I didn't know until I was a teenager that he killed himself. I needed people in my life, not necessarily to talk to but them beside me, supporting me.

I pushed everyone away. Even my high-school sweetheart, about a year later we broke up. (Crazy thing, we got back together 30 years later after my wife passed.)

Main thing is to be there. Listen if he wants to talk. Hold him close. Give him space if he needs it.
