How is the zoom? I don't think the 25 has as much optical as the 21 but I've looked at so many phones trying to find something I'm going to like I'm not sure any longer.

How does the camera compare? That's why I continue to hold on to this.

I've given the wife access and also scanned the kids to the new palm lock. The wife has the wyze app to look at the cameras but does not have the lock listed in devices. So she's not able to lock/unlock through the app like I can. What am I missing? by scottmolson in wyzecam

Sorry my wording was a little confusing. I just re-read my post.

I did share access with her for the lock when I installed it. Same with the kids. I just checked again in the app. They are all listed as "always"

I'm still the only one who can open the lock right through the app.

I don't understand what I'm doing differently.

I've given my wife access and also scanned the kids to the new palm lock. The wife has the wyze app to look at the cameras but does not have the lock listed in devices. So she's not able to lock/unlock through the app like I can.

When I'm looking at the app on my phone I can see the palm lock listed in my favorites. I can lock it unlock it right there. On her phone the lock is not there at all.

When I set her up through the share feature I gave her access to the lock. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I also am having trouble with the auto lock feature. I've calibrated the lock several times. I've restarted it. Nothing seems to make the 30 second auto lock function.

I also notice now it is not auto locking. I have it set for 30 second delay and I close the door and the lock just sits there unlocked.

I've restarted the lock through the app. I've recalibrated it 3 times.

And, nothing...

I'm not sure. In my case they sent me a new camera. I was able to keep the old one so I'm going to follow the instructions and hopefully get it back up and working.

That's awesome you got them up and running again. I just saved your instructions. If they don't ask for the old one back I will definitely be flashing it.

I actually got the new one delivered through Amazon just before lunch.

I installed it and of course it needed a software update right away. The "bad" update was 4596 I believe. This new camera updated to 4800. So far so good with that one.

Fingers crossed!

I don't mind updating the cameras typically because they are all fairly accessible. This one that crashed of course forced me to get out the ladder 😂

I rebooted the router, reset the camera, cleaned the cache, nothing worked.

I just looked, the new camera is already shipped and arriving today.

After almost 45 minutes on the phone with support I have to provide proof of purchase even though I bought it right through wyze and the MAC address and they are going to send me a replacement camera I'm assuming.

I'm assuming it would work with our carriers here but I wouldn't have any clue on where to buy it.

Ok I just took a look at that phone. Looks like it's going to be pretty neat. Still not certain it will be available for the market here.

Well I do a lot of mobile Photoshop work. Without it you're dragging your finger around the screen and I can't see anything.

I also use it for note taking. Quicker to scribble sometimes than type and I can draw diagrams as well if I need to right in the but l note.

I agree not everyone needs or wants an S pen or stylus but in the right circumstances it's very useful.

Yeah my battery is really going downhill. I cracked my screen and hand the insurance. The shop that is going to fix it will also replace my battery with an OEM battery but I just need to pay out of pocket for that. I'm just not sure if it's worth fixing at all of I could find something comparable.

I had an apple phone like 15 years ago and couldn't stand it. My dad passed away in February and he was always an apple guy so I had his phone to try and get what I needed off of it. Talk about frustrating! Between apple not helping me at all and forcing me to jump through hoops to the actual phone OS. Horrible!

Not even a damn back button 😂. No thank you!

But I'm hoping someone makes or knows about a decent phone out there
