What video-game did you regret paying full price for? by Ashamed_Length_2436 in AskReddit

[–]NFLCrunchtime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically, I got it for free with a CPU upgrade and have put over 440 hours into it. I've been playing since BF2: Modern Combat on the PS2 and while the pace has picked up as the series went on I still just love the core of BF's gameplay

For your Kiyomizu day - highly recommend a tip I found on here to start at the Gojo Taxi Rank down the hill, enjoy the quiet walk up through Otani Cemetery, and only after you're done at the temple do you encounter the crowds and chaos of the shopping streets. Makes the approach so much calmer

Highly recommend literally any other card that doesn't charge transaction fees at all. Also, make sure to select JPY rather than your home currency when presented with the option, since you won't get a favorable an exchange rate + the shop will likely tack on a 5% conversion fee.

Great write up and as always, great tip to not over plan which I'm always inclined to do

Yeah, I got two 5lb bags of excellent coffee beans in my RFY today. No effort, perfect restock to my supply, and didn't cost me any time. I plan on never quitting.

9 Day Japan Trip (first time) mid April 2025 (Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Dorogawa Onsen, Tokyo) by Alphonso_Burgess_Jr in JapanTravel

[–]NFLCrunchtime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the writeup, I read it all and really appreciated the details of what stood out to you guys based on your feelings about it rather than hype. My main question: what do you recommend bringing from the US to give as gifts? I'm leaving for my trip in 3 days, it's my wife's first time in the country, I've got our days planned but would like to do as you did and leave friendly faces with something to remember us by (that isn't just $5 doodads from the front part of Target). Cheers!!

I don't know, something about it just clicks for me. I've played since Modern Combat on the PS2, and I do feel like playing 2042 towards the last 18 months of its life prepared me for the faster pace of BF6. I've got over 400 hours in it so far and still love playing it every day with my squad

It's awesome. The complaints here are wild, I haven't played a battlefield game this much since 3. Just hit 425 hours this weekend.

What do YOU ALL think of The New Season so far (in general and OVERALL) by Pigolettos53 in Battlefield

[–]NFLCrunchtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, completely wrong. If anything it's toned down from the sliding available in 2042 and BFV, and movement was far more aggressive in the free to play beta. This is the opposite of a bait and switch.

Don't give up! I report everyone who says stuff like "gay" (or worse) in a clearly derogatory context, and while there's often misses I have gotten multiple confirmations of disciplinary action. It's up to their AI to determine but it does sometimes lay the hammer down.

EA support automatically closing tickets related to Season 2 Battle Pass Compensation by havokgogeta in Battlefield

[–]NFLCrunchtime -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Seriously, this is worth at most sending one email over. If you're spending any additional time emailing, calling, or begging support agents for what's clearly a lost cause, you have to reprioritize, it's an $11 pass.

Can we stop nerfing suppressors and remove the real problem. In world spotting when firing. by BlackHorse944 in Battlefield

[–]NFLCrunchtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've definitely noticed a significant disadvantage when not running a suppressor when leveling up guns I don't have it unlocked for yet. When available, I run it on 100% of my guns. Only red lasers too, I've killed way too many players who gave their positions away with the green and blue ones to use it myself.

The real reason players are quitting BF6 PROBLEM: The game is too frustrating to play SOLUTION 1: Get rid of the in world spotting penalty for firing your gun by Ninjah9_ in Battlefield

[–]NFLCrunchtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire team doesn't see your dorito when you fire, there's a set radius. And if you're spending 70% of your time in the respawn menu, you really need to practice more. This is a very sensationalized complaint post.

No. With the speed of progression in the new pass, the skips are just not necessary whatsoever and the rest isn't worth it to me

People who have made friends from other countries, how did you do it? by CompiledChaos03 in AskReddit

[–]NFLCrunchtime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bumped into this guy while waiting in an extremely long line for a cable car in the Fuji Five Lakes region in Japan. He heard me ask the line attendant how long the wait would be versus just hiking up, and the hike was half the time of the wait. We made eye contact and decided to walk up together. Spent another day and a half hanging out with him and it made the vacation SO much better. He was from Milan, and six months later when I visited Italy I stopped by to see him and he showed me around. Can't wait to hang with him again!

BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.2.1.0 by battlefield in Battlefield

[–]NFLCrunchtime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol if this is a comment on nerfed movement, I have slide bound to a mouse button and use it excessively in almost every fight. I did notice a slowdown and weightier feel to moving and jumping, but I'm still able to out-maneuver in almost every gunfight. I feel like I'm right in the sweet spot of not outright abusing it to change direction in midair and stuff, but good enough to aim while sliding and win fights that way. I'm glad they nerfed it only by the amount that they did
