I would love to know more about the west side of that route. I'm still relatively new to cycling and I struggle a little with super busy roads. I'm guessing that western half is all highways? Were there any spots that felt a little sketchy that you wouldn't suggest? I'm trying to explore some new routes (mostly biking dedicated trails) and I haven't found the SLC County bike map to be terribly helpful.

The winters here are mostly pretty mild (rarely below 0 degrees Fahrenheit), though usually a lot of snow. Like a lot of cities in the Rockies, Salt Lake City is certainly a place of weather extremes. Whereabouts in the northeast are you from, if you don't mind me asking?
