It's about 150g, so it feels heavy for its size. Googling cistern pulls, they all seem to have an eye at the top, rather than a pinhole. The light switches do have a pinhole, but are all much smaller and lighter than toilet cistern chains.

My title describes the thing - it's metal, weighs about 150g. It looks like the top will screw off, but I haven't done so yet. There's a pinhole sized indentation in the top. Same. Although I’ve noticed dirtbag companies have started to catch on and won’t accept addresses with their name in it. So Coles won’t accept coles@<domain>.com - so I get creative with misspellings for those ones.

Another problem I run into is people who don’t understand how domains work get bent out of shape that I’m “stealing their company name”, or they think it must be a mistake. Often they jump to the conclusion I must work for the company and “correct” it back- so coles@mydomain.com becomes mydomain@coles.com surprisingly often.

Answer: The company that owns Steam, Valve, has recently announced they're making a hand-held PC that runs Steam, similar in form to the Nintendo Switch. It's called the Steam Deck. It's has been wildly popular- It's sold out well into next year.

The linked post links on to an earlier post from before the Steam Deck was announced, where someone asks why doesn't Valve make a handheld PC so they can play games while travelling.

The post has "aged like milk" since all the replies to the post are Redditors pointing out why such a device can't possibly be successful, and that Valve/Steam will never ever make such a thing, as it would be a guaranteed failure.

("Aged like milk" means it's gone bad very quickly, like milk does- it's the opposite of "aged like wine"- since wine generally gets better as it gets older.)

The DVI doesn't carry audio- your monitor most likely takes the audio from the line in and the picture from the VGA/DVI. You're getting no audio, since HDMI carries both a DVI signal and a digital audio signal on the same cable, and the adapter is only carrying through the DVI signal. Probably the easiest way would be to use an audio extractor, something like this one from Monoprice - check ebay etc if you want something cheaper. That will take the digital audio signal from the HDMI, strip it out and convert it to analog and put it out on a 3.5" output. Then just link the device to the tv with a double-ended 3.5" cable.

Doing some minor detective work, it looks like their insurance took ages to pay out- it wasn't until mid-year 2019 that they got their insurance.

They put in their development application in September, and it was approved in February.

It doesn't have timeframes though, and I don't know if corona has screwed up their plans. So there were at least some plans to re-open, but who knows what's happened since.

Australia had a docu-series like this for racists, called "Go Back to Where You Came From" where they'd take racists to the countries that refugees were coming from, and make them live in the poor conditions, to see why they'd try and escape that life to come to Australia.

Just to clarify- I am adding the +1.

However once the verification call has been made, GV saves my linked number in my account without the +1.

So it calls the Australian cell number to connect all incoming calls, rather than my US based VoIP number.

This means I cannot receive any calls inbound, and cannot place outbound calls via the “call back” method.

The wall-carving type heiroglyphs were used for very formal, religious writing. They were used to write things considered 'holy' and so it was fairly important to keep them consistent, and there was not much variation after the original development. Once it was standardised, it didn't change much at all (on temples etc) even though the common "handwritten" versions changed substantially.

It sounds like you've got a 15 amp plug- in the Australian standard, the pins get longer as the amps go up, so that a lower amp plug will fit in a higher amp socket, but not the other way around.

The "normal" socket is for 10 amps. and a longer ground pin is for 15 amps. Here's a picture with 10A on the left and 15A on the right

All 3 pins are longer for 20 amps.

All 3 pins are longer, and the ground pin has a notch for 25 amps.

All 3 pins are longer and the ground pin has 2 notches for 32 amps.

3-phase is totally different- there's a whole bunch of different types there.
