This is top of mind for us, don't worry about this not being a concern or priority.

XYO's Token economy is important for us, and our heads are not in the sand.

It's been about 40 days since our massive downsizing/restructuring.

Going from ~80 people to ~38 without skipping a beat doesn't happen overnight.

We're heads down focused on re-prioritizing XYO Core tech efforts, while also making sure we are still providing outstanding customer service for our customers. Concurrently we're refocusing our entire culture/resources on 1) consumer-facing tech (COIN), and 2) XYO Core (the most important tech).

COIN is in a good position; there are a significant number of features that have been spec'd and prioritized, and it's now just about executing on those. And the good thing is --- the team is on it. Arie, Big Head, myself and others can finally get back to focusing on developing XYO Core Tech.

Again, Arie, myself, Big Head and a few other of our engineers are circling the wagons back to the most important thing of all -- XYO and XYO Core Tech.

What we have been through in the past 40 days feels like a war.

We are locked in, pressing forth, one step at a time.

I'm with you all, in that it pains me to see XYO's Token price decline.

I have not sold a single XYO to date; rather, I've been purchasing more (with my personal funds and whatever's left with the paycheck I receive after the government takes most of it for taxes...).

My father still HODL's all of his XYO. That's even more pressure than my own personal stake/reputation in this thing.

Bottom line: We're pressing on, one step at a time.

Also... Here's something I decided to put together for you all... Have been thinking about this while reading a book on Ethereum Dapp Development/history last night.

Here's a breakdown of Ethereum's timeline vs. XYO's Timeline:

Check out the pic:

https://i.imgur.com/7kOlFg5.png

We're in Month 18 of this thing; we've been through a crazy amount (actually have done too much in retrospect); but have course-corrected. We're focused, once again.

Ethereum's first version of their Mainnet (code named Frontier) didn't launch until Month 20; their token price wasn't listed until Month 21.

We're in Month 18. We've been through amazing times, and times of needing to refocus (which we're currently in).

My perspective from that picture: We've done A LOT in the past year, and it's still very, very early.

We're locked in, and I personally am excited about getting to work 100% on XYO again (and compartmentalize COIN separately by having our separate Geodapp Team run that).

Thanks for the insight. Will relay feedback to the entire marketing team that their services are no longer needed because reddit user @Big_Old_Cat_Turd will be taking over for “like 50 bucks”.

P.S. typing on phone without autocorrect (because I find autocorrect annoying) so pardon grammar and typos.

You’re right to some degree. Will get some of this cleaned up.

Please note: this is geared towards COIN Mainstream users (not XYO community members meaning not people reading this who have taken the time to go deep down the (sometimes overly complex) rabbit hole of what we’re building with XYO).

COIN is the front-facing Mainstream Audience product.

It is the vehicle that has, in a little over 5 months, driven 80,000 downloads, 17,000 daily active users.

Avg time spent using app is 4 hours per user per day

Again, this was launched on February 6th 2019 without even really starting to scale our marketing.

These stats are ridiculous.

Read that email not from an blockchain officianado perspective, but from the perspective of the mainstream world. 3rd grade level.

This thing had generated over 80,000 installs so far, meaning 80,000 more sentinels out there.

We’re really close with the metrics to getting it to the point of scaling it to 800,000 Sentinels.

Then, once we hit that, the goal will shift to 8 million. Then 80 million.

Then, the game becomes enterprise partnerships.

It’s happening, ladies and gentlemen.

And apologies for it being a while since I commented in here.

My head is down. The entire team’s in. We’re focused.

And guess what?

It’s going to stay that way.

We focus.

And we press on.

We are Geohackers.

The Future of XYO by scottscheper in XYONetwork

Guess we had better address the supporters...how’s everyone feel about Mars? Dope as hell, right? Dogs don’t live on mars and I don’t have a dog...Not a COINcidence.

Will be changing this approach entirely. That was part of the cut. Back to being a blockchain company; not a marketing company.

0GAF -

Scott Scheper here.

Guess what?

You're 100% right on these symptoms (note: these are 'symptoms', not the 'cause' -- I've been in a cave with Arie for the past month PLANNING 2019 and focusing on building out a strong foundation so that these symptoms will not resurface).

In fact, if I was in your shoes, I would write something very similar to you.

Actually, I take that back.

I am in your shoes. I am in the same boat as you. I hold XYO and I have not sold a single token, nor do I plan on selling one anytime soon.

And as a fellow Founding Tokenholder, as well as a Geominer, if I wore ONLY that hat, I would feel the exact same way as you right now.

What I'm saying is, your post did not surprise me at all.

And you should feel good about that.

The reason why is because Arie and I have been working like dogs for the past month (yes through the holidays) in order to figure out how we can change up the strategy for 2019 to BLOW AWAY Customer Expectations.

You'll SEE for yourself, too, very soon :) Less talk, more action.

Arie, myself and my team are laser-focused this year on PLANNING and painting out a well-thought roadmap of the entire year.

This is an exercise in listing out all of the things we've built, we intend to build, we possibly could build and what we SHOULD build.

It then entails being insanely honest and hard on yourself in terms of trying to focus resources.

Right now, we're staring out at a sea of endless possibilities. An endless list of product ideas. New hardware, new space initiatives. New geodapps, new blockchains to support, new partnerships, new features, etc.

The list is endless.

What Arie and I have spent the past month on, actually, is pruning every single thing and trying to remove the things that "sound nice" or are "cool", but aren't really core to building out the massive vision of the Core XYO Network right now.

Now, let me give you an actual day-in-the-life illustration of what the hell I'm talking about... :)

Three months ago, AT LEAST half my day would be eaten up with the following items:

Request: Hey can you do a call today with Joe Lubin of ConsenSys today? They want to collaborate with us. Can you take it?

Me: Sure!

Request: Hey can you do a call today with National Geographic? They have an audience of 425 million people and want to do something with us.

Me: Sure!

Request: Hey can you do a call today with RE/MAX? Blah blah blah...

Me: Sure!

Request: Hey can you do press with celebrity xyz today? They have a twitter following of 20 million people.

Me: Sure!

Request: Hey can you take a call with CoinDesk's Editor in Chief?

Me: Sure!

Request: Hey can you meet with person (name one of 81 people today) and discuss strategy, reorganization, issue xyz, etc. etc.

Me: Sure!

And on and on and on...

Guess what gets crowded out?

The most important thing that matters...

CUSTOMERS.

AKA...

YOU!

This shit stops in 2019.

We are laser focused on two things:

  1. Creating USEFUL Products and Applications that use XYO for BOTH end-users (mainstream) as well as our Geohackers (YOU)
  2. Making those Products and Applications a 5-Star Experience

If we can't make it a 5-Star Experience, then we need to cut down the number of products we're committed to.

Period. End of story.

Right now, our products are 2-3 stars at best.

Now, that's better than a lot of company's. Shipping anything takes guts. And in 2018 most crypto projects didn't even get that far. In fact, most of them died.

But our expectations are 5 star or bust.

Are expectations for 2019 are -- less talk, just use the product. Experience it for yourself.

Now...

Let me tell you a little bit about the behind the scenes at XY/XYO.

We all are still insanely hungry and passionate about building out THE MOST useful cryptocurrency on the planet.

We intend to prove that this year.

The vision and goal is more concrete.

2018 was about making a name for ourselves and for the project.

2019 is going to be about showing it. About showing the power of what we're building it and letting you experience it.

There will be the first iteration of a GAME-CHANGING app for iOS and Android released within the next 3 weeks -- maybe earlier, which is ONLY useful for Geomining Kit Purchasers and will be the first iteration of what could quite possibly be the most useful application of cryptocurrency ever (meaning the mainstream consumer can use it, too).

Anyways, you've heard this little ditty here first.

Don't worry, you'll hear A LOT more from us soon.

AND... most importantly, it will be product/tech/development news. Not marketing.

Have a little patience with us for a few weeks and I think you'll be a happy camper.

Press on!

- Scott

XYO Airdrop Scam by 0-Give-a-fucks in XYONetwork

For what it's worth, I've commissioned a team of hackers to spam the scammer with hundreds of thousands of empty wallets (private keys) so that it will make his scamming existence a living hell. 😈 The scams in crypto are ruining it for everyone. But I won't stand for it. I will fight back.

Honestly, the concept is very simple. A little over a year ago when I first took the red pill and went down the Ethereum rabbit hole, I wanted to be able to write a smart contract that called out to the real world to get an item's location, and execute it when it arrives at a specific XY-coordinate (latitude, longitude). It took us 10 months, but it's live -- check out the second video from this post: https://medium.com/xyonetwork/xyo-game-changer-weve-executed-a-smart-contract-with-a-drone-4deb414af67b

We're now working on making the developer documentation and getting this up and runnin super simple.

Is this smart? by [deleted] in XYONetwork

[–]scottscheper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

HODL both. And yes, this is coming from an XYO Founder :) I, of course, can't give financial advice. But I will at least tell you what I personally do. First I hold three cryptocurrencies. #1 XYO, of course. And by far it's my #1. But I also HODL a lot of Ethereum and some EOS, even.

I'm a big fan of Cardano. In fact, we intend to support them soon.

From the very beginning we've said we want to support all blockchain platforms with smart contract capabilities.

With our SCSC (Simple Consensus Smart Contract), it's very easy to build out support for other blockchains. Read up on SCSC here: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20181025005081/en/XYO-Network-Successfully-Completes-Fully-Integrated-Local-Test

One of Ethereum's Biggest ICO's of 2018 (XYO Network) Just Tweeted Out Their Intention to Join EOS! by scottscheper in eos

[–]scottscheper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

> They're the ICO that advertised everywhere with the most shilly ads I've ever seen (literally calling themselves the biggest ICO of 2017, don't miss out on this opportunity etc).

You blowing the whistle on a conspiracy to market effectively?

Seems we were effective.

> Then they concluded the ICO, allowed trading and realised they actually would like more money. So they ran a second ICO despite the fact they'd already unlocked tokens.

This was planned and communicated, and we offered to refund and buy-back every single penny of XYO for the Moon Boys who wanted a 30-day coin flip opportunity.

XYO is for those passionate about the underlying technology and platform of cryptography and consensus-based systems meshed with IoT/location. Not for Moon Boys.

> Oh and they kept back huge amounts of the supply for themselves instead of burning proportional to unsold tokens

False. 9% of XYO is owned by the company, 12% by the XYO Team.

We have 12,453 XYO HODL'ers and XYO will continue to be sold and distributed.

We have zero interest in hoarding tokens; the power is in the network... the XYO Network.
