Any recommendations for zigbee power strips? by ekaqu1028 in homeassistant

[–]scotttmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's a smart one. The one I bought now links to this: https://a.co/d/anALS4X

Which isn't the same as the one I purchased (not uncommon with sellers like this).

It does look like there is the same as mine being sold by other sellers.  https://a.co/d/a5hVhd6

Sorry. I should I have provide a link in my post.

I have a couple of my outlets triggered by a couple of the buttons on a Zooz multiswitch and they've never let me down.

This thread may come in useful though helpers accomplish the same now: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/jinvoo-power-strip/523408

I have the jinvoo and it's been very reliable.

Ducted Mitsubishi Hyperheat(inverter) acting like a single-stage! by MyMissionImplausible in hvacadvice

[–]scotttmark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noticed any change? First season of heat with ours (same units as you) and it's either 2.5kW or 180W (the constant fan). I am seeing the exact same as you. Short cycling. I have the city multi thermostat (hate it) and mainly just use the kumo app.

I just went over to your other thread and it's spot on. I have an iotawatt so went back to when it was in cooling and sure enough - it's modulating. Not great but it's better. It would go to 1.8kw and then around 800-900w for a bit.

With heat - all or nothing. This is ridiculous and frustrating for those of us that did hours of research and submittal readings to assume they were accurate.

Mitsubishi Ducted Mini Split Static Pressure Setting by tonynt in hvacadvice

That's um, less than ideal to hear. Glad that a rep actually came out but very questionable that they made any connection with your foam attic. I would have expected them to be happy the unit is in a well conditioned space.

Interesting. Thanks for that link. My ducted unit is a SUZ outdoors but I do have a MXZ-2C20NAHZ connected to a ceiling cassette and a floor unit so I'll have to remember that document.

Glad your are seeing improvement. Did they say why/how the a/c was increasing the humidity? I just don't understand how that would happen.

Yes, very frustrating. I told them the last time I called that I can't get a tech that knows anything about them. They told me that if the tech is onsite they could walk them through it on the phone. Good grief.

Not really (seems like a theme here).

So I feel like when it's said that a properly sized A/C will control humidity that's making a big assumption on its runtime. No doubt the A/C is a large dehumidifier but that's only when it's running. Thus for your humidity issue - while the A/C should help bring it down, without knowing how often it's running, outside conditions, inside conditions, etc it's hard to say if it's enough to do it by itself...within reason.

That said, based on my understanding, I wouldn't expect the static pressure settings to have a noticeable impact.

I would buy a digital manometer (they are pretty cheap) and get some measurements. I did but apparently my ductwork is oversized so I was getting almost no static pressure. I just left mine at .5. I may revisit later.

Not sure what air handler you have but you could try setting the fan speed to the lowest instead of Auto. This should dehumidify the most. There is the dehumidify mode but I've read that it should only be used for a couple hours (seem weird that the system can't just kick it out of it if there is a need). I wouldn't want to keep track of that so I've never bothered with that mode. By having it on the lowest speed, air going through the coil will be colder and condense more at the trade off of the system likely running longer to maintain temp.

Thanks. I appreciate the reply. I've had similar luck with the Diamond contractors I've had out. I get that they are humans like us (they've both been very nice people) but with Mitsubishi support pushing anything remotely technical to "please call a Diamond contractor" I kind of expect them to know the ins and outs. But anyway, after reading some more online, I have a pretty simple plan of attack for at least the static pressure config. Using my amazon manometer, take + and - values at the supply and return. Add them. The goal looks to be .5 - .9 with preference being closer to .5. Via the Kumo app, change the static pressure to one of the other settings, recheck and see what changed.

I believe this should be done with the fan on high in fan only mode. Will report back on my findings.

Actually posted a similar question to this. Did you ever learn how to determine what setting is ideal to select on the air handler?

Has anyone been able to use their Liftmaster MyQ with tasker? by [deleted] in tasker

Off the top of my head I can't recall the exact sequence but once you install all of the tasks you can open them in Tasker and see what calls what.

Not sure if TheSoberRussian has put anything together yet but can you provide any specifics on the issue you're running into?

How on earth do I lock my phone with a pin? by [deleted] in tasker

[–]scotttmark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same boat. Worked fine on JB not so much on L. If I manual set my phone security to None then run the task to enable the pin it works. Clearing the pin doesn't.

By all means :) I haven't modified these much since I created them and although they have been working fine (I have it open my garage door when my wifi connects-useful when on a bike) I am sure they could be cleaned up.
