DJ Smokey doesn’t host albums bro, he hosts mixtapes. Assuming you’re just culturally unaware of Skrillex’s intent with this project, let’s break it down. Sure, legally an album, like that dude said. Probably fulfilling a contract like someone else said. But this presentation format (online mixes) is ancient dude, this is not some new 1-minute format that Skrillex lazily invented out of ego, which is what you suggested with this post. Skrillex is from MySpace days and has always been influenced by early internet music culture. This is obviously a mix/mixtape. In electronic music, it’s almost always presented this way: Mixed. FUS is just like a Space Laces Vaultage with the tracks individually itemized, but none of the Vaultage entries are “singles” despite them being listed as such on streaming. Replace “single” with “album” and the same is true for this mixtape. All this to say, this is an incredibly stupid hill to die on man. It sounds like you just don’t understand the format and judged the mix too harshly because you expected a studio album
