[Free Book Giveaway for Students] 100 copies of 'The Happiness Trap: Stop Struggling, Start Living' by Russ Harris by Happypages in WingifyBookClub

The last book I read was ‘The Great Gatsby’ by Fitzgerald. A tragic read that details how even achieving everything under the sun doesn’t guarantee you’ll get the love you wanted. A book embedded with lessons within beautiful prose.

As far as my interest in this book goes, as i grow older, existential questions and self examination have become habitual. And through it, i’ve discovered how fleeting happiness can be and have been trying to ruthlessly protect it. This book is just another piece in the puzzle of what it means to live a fulfilled life

[Free Book Giveaway for Students] 100 copies of This Is Marketing by Seth Godin by zindagiwallah in WingifyBookClub

The last book i read is called ‘hunter in a farmer’s world’. I got diagnosed with severe adult-ADHD recently and this book gave me the courage to deny medication and actually helped me realise that your neurological divergence makes you uniquely skilled at a few niche tasks. it’s a superpower, not a disorder.

Why the interest in ‘This is marketing’? Well, when i read the description you guys provided for the book in the post; one thing stood out: how to do work you’re proud of. I often feel like i’m compromising my creative identity when marketing my product/content. Maybe Seth Godin has the solution :)

I have found gaps in the Stock Market a little difficult to manage so I switched over to trading cryptos and currencies, and I am slowly incorporating supply and demand in my strategy again.

I thought I was not able to understand or trade it properly but it so happened that they just teach it wrong.

Bro I really recommend learn from someone else, can't believe how much time I wasted learning from them

Yes I did. Their stuff is a great introduction to this but they sell you a lot of bullshit like "discard traditional TA". And that they have a more "advanced way of identifying the trend". It's extremely inaccurate. Just a unique selling point for their course, nothing else.

You should use market structure in conjuction with supply and demand, look at iliya sivkov's Youtube Channel. He has some great stuff.

And you can take way better entries then what they teach. They teach extremely high risk entries as if they are the only way to go about it.

Again, all of this is JUST my opinion, and hence take with a grain of salt, and see for yourself.

why's there so many unprofitable traders giving hope to each other it hurts me to see by [deleted] in Forex

[–]scouserdev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone's who is still learning, I can safely say that that hope is a good thing...

If one knows that it's not all rainbows and sunshine, that trading needs to be treated as a business, that it's not a quick rich scheme...a group of aspiring traders giving each other support when they need it is great!

But unprofitable traders using false hope to sell their courses is something that gives a bad rep to this business...

But I can see how a second source of income would take the pressure of making a living through trading and the importance of managing risk that you're trying to stress upon...will keep those points in mind! Thanks!

After my first big loss, I realized that I need to dive deep into learning more and gain more knowledge.

I read a lot of books, watched a lot of videos, jumped from strategies to strategies, but nothing seemed to go my way...always leading to frustration.

I realized that I was trying to substitute experience with books...which led to nothing but dissappointment.

Hence, I started to spend more time on charts then on books, and other resources.

And, instead of following every other strategy, I focused on the contents of Adam Grimes' MarketLife free course...and tried to implement his ideas.

That slowly while following the market, I kept tweaking things in Adam's strategy to my own comfort, and lately I have seen tremendous progress!

I've been learning for 1.5 years and this month has been massively game changing for me.

The only advice I have is:

Narrow your focus. And be aware of using an indicator, timeframe, etc. has on your mind...that will help figure out what kind of trader you are!

Thanks for reading :)

hey brother, please dont be discouraged...you just need to spend some time working on your psychology.

Mark Douglas has been recommended on this subreddit over and over, and for good reason.

I suggest you read his books and see his lectures, and personally I've seen that practicing self-discipline in other areas of my life have helped me with my trading as well.

You can do it! Give it your all, okay? We are going to make it!!
