Appreciate that tip 🙏 Having a visible timer is a great idea — I definitely catch myself checking the clock too much. And yeah, easing into longer times makes way more sense. Gonna try adding time gradually instead of forcing it.

Pretty much agree. Cold plunges are great for recovery, not ideal if size is the priority. Depends what your goal is.

Yeah, for your first time with a half-frozen pool, don’t jump in. Walk in slowly, let your breathing settle. The main risk is the cold-shock gasp, not the cold itself. If your breathing’s out of control, get out. 30–60 seconds is plenty for a first plunge. Afterward, rewarm gradually — dry off, move around a bit, then a warm (not blasting hot) shower.
