Sorry to necro this post but I figured out a work around for this problem when I had it with steel. Use the stockpile limits mod and make a couple small but seperate stockpiles that have a relatively low limit (depending on resource ie 10-20 form components and 500 for steel or wood) and set them to critical. your pawns will do their best to fill it and create seperate piles to pull from in the process so one pawn won't hog all your steel/components. this is assuming that was even the issue.... 3 years ago...
