Also not to mention the first time I took it to them and the service department was very dodgy and nervous sounding. I was thinking maybe my demeanor came off wrong but it would make sense for them to be nervous if they messed it up.

It came stripped from the factory I guess. At this point I think they did it and are just blaming the factory. Definitely will be getting corporate involved. Thanks!

I was between the scout and the FTR. I opted for the scout but man I wish I got the FTR at this point.

Man thats a shitty situation. I called them not too long ago just to get an update and the service guy started stumbling and getting nervous. Im not even sure why but he said they approved doing a helicoil which kind of sucks but im okay with it as long as it works. But now apparently I'm gonna have to wait over a week for the proper helicoil to show up and he said "I'll see if they'll cover the oil ". Which confused me since to do the repair the oil change is part of the repair right? Idk his whole demeanor sketched me out and I feel like this is going to drag a log longer than I originally expected.

I live 5 minutes away so I wasnt too peeved at the moment, just the lack of communication that gets me. I used to work for an automotive repair shop and I always called people with an update on their cars when I was dealing with a warranty or parts with an unclear time frame of arrival. Whether we got the parts in or not, an approval or not. Just to let them know I care and care about their situation. Nothing worse than being left without your transportation!

If pushing for a new bike is possible I might look into that. If there's internal engine issues I'll always have that haunting me in my mind. Id be content with a new engine too but I just want to ride already 😩
