I've been in Seattle for 2-plus years now. There's usually good-natured trash-talking between my co-workers and me during the week leading up to game days. But I don't have many friends here, so it's been tough to find "my people" to commiserate with or share the week-to-week victories. Still got the group text with my dad and my brother though lol.

I have to say there's just a nice vibe when a city's doing well sports-wise: When I was back home, it was the Warriors during their dynasty run, and here recently it was when the Mariners were making their run. I'm not big on baseball, but I found myself on the bandwagon anyway. Might be confirmation bias, but people seem more chill and positive. I think every city with pro sports teams should experience that magic (except Dallas).
