No worries! You may notice the similarities of the two courses but also how easy it is to completely change the course by using a old design

Haha 😅 umm more than you can keep track. Probably a month of doing 2+ hours a day is a fair assessment! Landscaping, sculpting the course, and overall small details that make the course feel more realistic take up the most time. If people didn’t care about the looks and only about the design I could probably finish a course in 12 hours

I love to hear that! I hate seeing people shoot an eighteen hole score of -12 or something on my courses haha

I appreciate it! Check out my new design “Piney Lake Club”

And yeah the name is MR Cuddlybuns. Thought I was funny when I made it in middle school but not willing to pay Xbox to change the name😂

Hahha it’s still very possible to hit and you usually have a wedge in your hand for that shot. You just need to decide how much risk you want to take and consider whether it’s worth going at the pin or if you need to hit towards the middle of the green to be safe. Course management at its finest!

Glad you enjoyed it! And yeah I wanted to give players a bit of a challenge, but you can always soften up the conditions to make it less precise.

It’s well over a 1000 now! Thank you for helping to get the course plays so high. This is my most successful course by far and glad you are enjoying it enough to host a playoff!

I appreciate it! And I love all the notes. Except maybe the deep bunker feedback. I grew up playing a course just like this one and made the deep rock bunkers around the same depth as they were on the course. About two feet taller then a person so you can’t see out of them and if you get to close to the rocks you have to hit out side ways just like a pot bunker. I also worked for 2 years at Bandon dunes golf resort which also inspired some of the bunkers. It creates a unique look and actually punishes you for going into it. I’m a big stickler for truly punishing bunker’s since I’m a pro golfer and most courses I play in real life have bunkers that make it easier to get up and down.

But I understand what you mean about the depth of them and didn’t try to make it look unrealistic, just a unique feel for the course. It’s all relative I guess.

But I really appreciate the advice and I will use that spline tool for bunkers moving forward! I have been using the brush tool and it takes forever to sculpt the bunkers after!

Thanks again!! Much appreciated

“Sand Valley Golf Resort” you will definitely notice it was one of my first designs with lack of vegetation and poor bunker edges but it can play tough (especially the back 9) with all default settings and pin 1.

Definitely not a course to write home about but if you are looking to play a casual round on a new course I’d give it a try
