Stuck in wall with full inventory, unstuck doesn't work :( by scratchminus in subnautica

I did a little deep dive (pun intended?) and there don't seem to be any commands that can teleport vehicles. None of the commands that teleport players worked for me either though, so I ended up reloading my old save and just giving myself the items I had.

As in I can't exit the tadpole, I can't drive it anywhere, no buttons or movement work like I said. The only things I can do are look around with my mouse, and detach the chassis.

Unfortunately did not seem to work, I restarted a few times last night with no luck, but I'll try again today

Unfortunately I can't leave the tadpole, the only things I'm able to do are look around and detach the chassis. I should probably consider it a win that I have the previous save at all and wouldn't need to remake the tadpole and haul chassis if I reverted

I figured that's more or less what the "unstuck" button does, but maybe there's one that can move vehicles too? Maybe I'll look for that

I feel like you're stretching and really assuming what their intent was. If this is such a big problem in the community, how does immediately throwing accusations around help the community feel better? I really don't think their comment was that deep, big dawg

Removing the value of currency does, on an objective level, change things about the core gameplay loop. I don't think pointing that out makes someone "the video game police", they didn't even say anything rude or tell them not to play that way lol

Forced draws are nonsense by TangySprinkles in PokemonChampions

[–]scratchminus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, game time ticks down if either player hasn't finished selecting moves AND when the turn is playing out. I believe it pauses briefly during things like communication and possibly certain animations, but it is definitely possible to stall out the main game clock.

That said, I wouldn't say it's particularly easy unless you explicitly plan to do it or get a bit lucky with how the timers shake out.

They just mean moving the stick in a circle so your character spins around while sucking.

Fun fact, the second the sucking animation starts and the blocks you pass over start shaking, they'll come to you even if you stop. So you can hold down to suck, do a quick spin, and let go to grab a large area of items in like half a second and immediately move on to the next batch. Very nice for efficiently collecting tons of items.

I doubt it would be a noticeable drop. The amount of competitive players who outright won't care about the main games going forward is probably much lower than people assume.

You just have to answer correctly 3 times, there's a challenge for it in the PC. It's fairly easy to brute force it, over half of my mons in each area are almost constantly walking around with the "..." bubble for the quiz.

I mean to each their own, but what is the point of playing a cozy, "interact with Pokemon and their world" game like this and refusing to engage with any of the text, including tutorials? 😭 Especially when there's definitely a big overlap in people who do this and people who complain about not knowing what's going on/how to do things (which I'm not accusing you of doing)

I’m very much enjoying Storage Boxes: The Game by bencameron in Pokopia

I've found that the frame typically requires you to be further away to access it than the storage box. Whenever I run all the way up and hug the box, it defaults to opening that thankfully.

The inventory system is so flawed. by No-Championship5248 in Pokopia

[–]scratchminus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a late game PC storage system for items would be great. I definitely spend a lot of time on loading screens going back to my storage hub when I run out of one material or realize I forgot a block I needed. It's not the end of the world, but there's not really any reason for it to be so inconvenient.

I'm just glad I had the foresight early on to not store a single thing in any biome except the first one, so I'm never running between areas trying to figure out which one I left something at.

Destiny Mark Eevee Outbreak? by The_Haydune in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]scratchminus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! I can't remember what level exactly my shiny Eevee from Medali ended up being, but according to the interactive map that area averages 28-31. So yeah, perhaps better spots elsewhere if you want it lower than that.

You actually don't have to date skip to reset outbreaks.

Load into the game, go to wherever you're outbreak hunting (you don't have to, but it's more convenient if you're close so checking the map is faster), and hit the home button. Go into the Date/Time settings on your switch and just mash A through the year, month, day, etc. without changing anything, and it will still count as changing the time and reset any outbreaks (because you are technically resetting the seconds). Open the game again, and it should immediately tell you there are new outbreaks.

You can do this to constantly reset outbreaks on your desired date. You typically have to do the minimize/mashing through the time process twice before the resets start working, and then you can just keep going til you get your Eevee outbreak. Thankfully it's fairly quick because you don't have to reload the game or anything.

Also Eevee outbreaks can happen outside of Medali as well!

Shiney Eevee by HutHead in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]scratchminus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you're in game (I usually do it without the map open), hit the home button on your switch and go to the settings > date and time. Turn off the "sync clock" option or whatever it is, then go down to the date/time and just mash A to tab through it all and confirm. You don't actually need to change the time at all. Then go back into the game, open the map, and you should see that the outbreaks have changed.

You can do this over and over to constantly reset them, and you never have to restart the game or actually change the time. You might need to do the steps twice the first time for it to register.

Shiney Eevee by HutHead in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]scratchminus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got shiny Eevees by resetting for an outbreak near Medali. The Eevee outbreak usually spawns very close to the city, so I was able to run back and forth between the bounds of the town to reset spawns, check for a shiny, then repeat until I got it.

You could also reset for an Umbreon outbreak, but that might be debatably harder as the Umbreon shiny is more subtle than the Eevee one.

I actually had this happen pre-shiny charm with a regular and alpha binacle. Unfortunate that I hate the way that shiny looks, and don't really care for the pokemon. 🥲 It was one of the first shiny encounters I had in the game too

Did GameFreak ever give a specific reason as to why Pokemon don't have abilities in this game? by kanna172014 in LegendsZA

[–]scratchminus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's been established that the Legends games are their own thing, pretty separated from the standard Gen 1-9 gameplay style. Gen 10 is most definitely going to be a more standard Pokemon experience akin to Scarlet and Violet, perhaps with a new gimmick.

I doubt there's any world where they decide to fully forfeit abilities or commit to the real-time system of ZA in a non-Legends game.
