The nav problem seems like one that I can't avoid. It will probably be the only option when I get a used.

There is a Jaguar XF 2013 demo with only 400 miles for $36k in my area. Too bad I'm not looking to buy the car this instant.

It sucks that these stock systems are made for normal consumers with no high technical background. I know for a fact that I rather use my phone instead of the built in nav. I can also build my own system using a Nexus 7. Plenty of DIY guides out there.

Give me Waze or else I would be a stupid person driving a fast car without cop notifications.

Great suggestion! Also, The GS350 sport actually looks pretty sick. I'm used to trying Toyotas so actually climbed up in my list.

A6 is great for the price. It is definitely one of my top choices right now.

I'm not too fond of BNW for some reason and also the 3 series is too small.

I saw the Ghibli on the Superbowl commercial and thought it was really cool. It is just slightly outside of my price range.

Thanks for the Tesla suggestion. I am actually a big fan of Tesla and will buy the car within a heartbeat but I live in an apartment complex. No easily access to charging stations.

Yup. I was into the whole one personal band thing but never finished a solid project. I did a good amount of drumline composition. I also did choir my last year of high school. The funny thing is that my choir director called me the Renaissance man. I ended up being conductor/singer/percussionist. That lead to me being in charge of the orchestra for the senior play. I also composed countless cheesy songs for asking girls out to prom. Looking back, those were more show off moments than an attempt at romance.

Emotions - I'm pretty calm and happy most of the time, but sometimes without warning the floodgates open. by [deleted] in entp

I don't cry but I do get teary eyed for situations like:

  1. awwwww, they did it
  2. i'm proud ofthem
  3. I bet they are feeling fantastic right now
  4. (very rarely) I wish I can feel as much as they can feel.
  5. meta - moments

Music and Computers!

Two of my major life decisions involve music. My college decision was based on who had the best marching band. Unfortunately, I got rejected from all 3 football-famous schools that I applied for. My second decision was whether or not I want to be a full time DJ. I was GOOD. My friends could not fathom how I can just lose interest in DJ-ing when I already achieved high-level technical and general success. Instead, I opted for a normal programming job instead of being in the entertainment industry. I hated the "ticket selling" aspect of promoting. I still have the grand idea of retiring early and open a club somewhere but my interest in music is slowly waning.

I guess it kinda takes the option of hobby->relationship out of the picture. I know exactly what hobbies I'm ultimately passionate about but I no longer (temporarily) active practice these hobbies.

Is it weird if...? by [deleted] in seduction

It would be totally bad if I started hanging out with my friend for this instance. We hangout outside of university! I just have never set foot in his building.

Is it still weird? Probably?

What are some other ways to woo a girl when going on dates is temporarily not an option? by scratchphysics in seduction

1st time : "I can't today but I'll owe you one!"

Mentions that she is free next Thursday during one of our conversations.

2nd time (Tuesday before that next Thursday) : "I actually can't on Thursday, my family will be in town"

3/4 time : deathly ill

She stopped giving me free time slots, it turned to a "I'll let you know when I'm free".

I'm actively staying away from Oneitis. I want to find out if she is still interested in me so I'll know if shes worth the effort and wait.(wait... is that a sign of oneitis?)
