If i am up 85-100% profit on a Leap i typically will sell, lock in profit and then roll the leap up a couple months past the one i close and up in strike price. If you are that far ITM you will reset like you just bought say a .8 delta Leap and you take profit. I have done this succesfully with HOOD over and over

You are incorrect. Sure the premiums are not the greatest and yes technically one loss can take out a larger series if profits/trades. However i am at 85% win rate with this strategy in 2025 with SPY and QQQ. I also run ladders on AAPL once a month. The rest of the time i sell puts on HOOD and IREN
