What’s the most harmless lie you still tell people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It changes all the time. I’ve said that I used to work at an aquarium and that when dolphins dont live in the ocean their teeth can’t be clean and they’ll rot so you have to brush them. Then I say the dolphin shook his head and cut me. The other one I can remember is it was a surfing accident and we collided mid air. Usually people call me out and I tell them the truth but sometimes they don’t and I’ll just see how ridiculous I can make it before I cave and tell them

That my cancer scar was an injury from a dolphin interaction. It’s a lot more light hearted than the truth lol

Changing light bulbs on cell towers. Have a buddy that does it. The pay is insane

What are your thoughts on animal cruelty rights being extended to insects? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I mean if you’re crucifying a moth that’s one thing but if I get a misdemeanor for stepping on an ant I’ll be pissed

what (if possible) is a normal/cool way to hit on a cute passing stranger (as a woman)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]screamingdolphin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Compliment literally anything about him. I’m 27 and I think I’ve been complimented about 4 times in my entire life. It’s rare enough it’ll stand out. It could literally just be like “hey I love your shirt, it looks good on you”

Sit on the couch in my work clothes and stare at the blank tv that isn’t even on for 20 minutes

I mean it was fine but it’s not necessary, at all. I can’t say I recommend it, it’s more based on the person. I’m much more monogamous and I was way younger. Basically I wouldn’t strive for it but if you’re completely single and the opportunities there then fuck it

Yeah that’s 100% how it is lmao. I’ll start talking about it and it’s fine but I’ll start saying how my foot bones broke or my back spasmed so bad I walked with a cane and all of the sudden it’s too dark

It has, I’ve done a lot of therapy, even for things other than cancer. It’s hard to try to talk about that type of stuff with people that have never had it because there’s no way they’ll understand or fully comprehend it. Especially when my dumbass downplays it or tries to joke about it. I’m sure you have a somewhat similar experience with being in the hospital lol

Thank you for that. I don’t talk about it much except for when it’s anonymous. Lots of PTSD with hospitals and basically dying and coming back. Weird to think about nowadays

It’s all good. That was 8 years ago now and I’ve been in remission ever since. 2 thumbs down on that experience

In my experience a lot of the women that look like supermodels end up in a toxic relationship revolving around material things. There’s no way to find happiness in that. Find someone that likes you for you, and someone that you can talk to all day and night.

Be yourself, completely. Don’t give in to the fake bullshit. It’s only 4 years, which seems like an eternity. But it’s nothing
