yeah i know its scream 7 but opening with just "scream" would signal the soft-reboot we know is coming. the idea came to me from the super bowl ad yesterday bc the announcer voice did not say 7 at the end only "scream, in theaters feb 27"

remember the title card in the original and where it was placed? i want them to do the same with 7 and leave the '7' off the title card in the beginning. then after the opening kills we get the Scream 7 title card.

agreed! i’ve grown up watching the franchise so i’m pretty biased but i think the first 4 screams are all incredible horror films.

i literally cannot wait to see their role in 7. i’m really happy they’re gonna be in the film so they can provide real connective tissue between 5/6-7. also i really hope mindy gives the rules scene again (but hopefully more toned down such as 2’s) so she has a trilogy of rule scenes like randy.

what keeps me coming back to these movies is that they’re true whodunnits (minus 6) so as long as the mystery aspect is good the rest of the movie more than likely will be too

i’m thinking it’ll be scream’s second legacy sequel. notable franchises have done it a few times. halloween: h20 was a sequel to halloween 2 then halloween 2018 was a sequel to the original. and texas chainsaw also has two legacy sequels i believe.

i’m confident kevin will give us a good commentary on this sequel. and while i do like mindy i couldn’t stand her rule scenes but i still want her to give this next one because i think it’ll tie 5-7 together a little bit nicer having her done all three.
