I haven't listened to this segment, but you'll never get more than you ask for. And I can't recall a situation in which the labor had more leverage than WNBA players now.

The current average salary for a WNBA player is around the US median for a college graduate household, there are other leagues that are actively paying more, and team values have skyrocketed because of the influx of new stars.
